I go to a GREAT girl in Brentwood named Angie. She's listed on this website under the company "Hair Angie" and she is fantastic!!! Her number is ###-###-####.
Can anyone recommend a good stylist/salon in the Des Peres/Kirkwood/Webster Groves area? I don't get my hair cut often and I don't color it, so it doesn't have to be a cheap place; I just want to be able to get a dependably stylish, though not too trendy haircut that doesn't require much effort on my part. Thank you!

Mode-A-Vations salon is in Kirkwood across from the farmer's market. Stephanie does a great job, did my color a month ago lasting longer than it usually does. Definitely could come up with an easy style for you she had great options for me.
She is taking $5 off for new customers, just mention that you found out about her on Mamasource from me. Most importantly, she works evenings also and they usually try to work you in so getting an appointment within the week isn't a big problem. ###-###-####.
I go to Ginger Bay in Kirkwood. They do a great job.
I go to Ginger Bay, it's on Kirkwood Rd, near the McDonalds. It's not cheap, but I have had pretty good experiences there. I have short hair so when I find someone who can cut it right, I stick with them. I see Susan. Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment with her, but they have other stylists if I'm in a bind. Their spa services are good too.
Good Luck!

They have a new thing on their website that you can check to see what appts are available that day, kind of nice if you just find out you are free of your kids for a bit.
My hair has a mind of its own and never took direction well. I had decades of trouble finding the right style for my hair. I finally found the stylist that understood how to bring out the style that allows me to let my hair do its own thing and fits my face, not trendy. It really is a wash-n-go style. No curling iron and I don't have to anything but add a bit of gel.
Her name is Jo and she owns the Oxygen Spa at Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend, http://www.oxygenspaandsalon.com/. The address is Valley Park, but it is just a block or two away from either Des Peres or Kirkwood. When you call for your first appointment, be sure to ask for Jo and ask for the artistic design. That should run about $75, but once she helps you find your cut, the maintenance cuts are less expensive.
The only caution I have is that she loves to use the chemicals. I discovered that the mouse gives me migranes. I always have to tell her to use only a styling gel and no mouse. I found a gel made by Jason (natural product). It doesn't dry the hair. It seems to provide a conditioning effect.
Jo has owned hair styling schools and has styled hair for more than 40 years. The only thing I worry about is that she might retire someday!
