Some of the nice places we have gone are Melting Pot (in Troy, Novi and Toledo all nice), Lelli's Inn in Auburn Hills and Kiernan's in Dearborn.

We had a fantastic time at all 3 and the food was wonderful.
The Melting Pot in Troy is good for the experience, and right next door is Mortons Steakhouse which is great for the food! They have a $99 deal that feeds two people salad, fillet mignon, Shrimp Alexander, veggie side, and a mini molton lava cake. It was the best dinner I have ever had. We were so full but still had room for the cake. Afterwards I felt like I was on drugs. My husband and I still talk about that meal 6 months later. lol
There are several nice places in Detroit. Andiamos is my husbands favorite...he has gone there for business lunches.
Our Anniversary is just after Christmas so we usually do something special on our Ann and then go out for a nice dinner when the Holiday madness has settled down.
Hello,
My husband and I spent a really nice evening on or anniversary earlier this month at the MGM Grand in Detroit. They have several really nice reasturants (wolfgang pulkand Burbon steak house). They also have a seafood resturant. Also, there are several really nice clubs where you can go and have an after dinner drink and listen to music.
We actually stayed over night at the hotel and It was extremely nice. (42"flast screen television, flast screen television in the bathroom and a walk in Shower that could actually accommodate at least 6 people.)
I would recommend the experience for an anniversary. On the down side it was a little expsenisve and we had to find a sitter. but we had the best time and we deserved it.
I hope you have a wonderful anniversary.
Hi Sonya,
My husband and I LOVE going to The Melting Pot for special occasions. I don't know if they charge extra for New Yeas, but you will have a lot of fun. Ask if you can get a table in "Lovers Lane". I know it sounds cheesy (no pun intended) but they are private tables for couples and it is much more intimate. If you decide to go let me know and I can give you some advice on how to order.

Could you celebrate on New Years Day (evening) instead? Otherwise, as you already know you are going to pay a premium because it is New Years Eve, book now and save up for a real blowout night. How about the restaurant at the top of the Ren Center. Alternatively, you could celebrate earlier in the evening, before all the madness begins.
Good luck with whatever you decide and enjoy your evening.
southgate crystal gardens have a new year party you can dress up get dinner and drink. I thinks its about 75. person. you can pick a room with a theme and skip around after dinner. my brother goes every year. you go with other couples or met new people
