Have you checked with N'ville parks and rec? The Hillside rec facility has a pool, I know. I'd be really shocked if they didn't offer a program for your kids.
Although I didn't like the teenage instructor splashing my at the time 2 year old in the face to 'get used to water in her face', there are swim lessons with the Parks & Recreation.
I have heard good things about Novi.
I take my girls to Novi High School. Here is a link...

Price is fair and classes have been small so far.
Also, there is a new place on 9 and Haggerty called Goldfish. They are sort of tucked away behind CVS. The looked pretty good but were more expenxive than the Highschool. But I have heard really good things about them.
Happy Swimming!
Schoolcraft college has a wonderful program but I found with my 4 year old that it is better for him to be in a lesson where I didn't have to get in the water (he just thought it was play time), and I think at Schoolcraft at 4 the parent has to. We now go through Plymouth Canton Community Ed. Also, just got a mailer on a swim school (goldfish swim school, i think) but it was too pricey for us!!
a new branch of http://www.goldfishswimschool.com/ opened up on Haggerty in Farmington Hills. We go to Lifetime Fitness in Canton (there's one in Novi too but about the same distance from Nville) and they do swim lessons!
