My 7 year old daughter has been swimming since she was 6 months old and diving since she was 5. She is a great swimmer and would like to get on a swim and/or diving team. Does anyone know of one in the area? I live in Denton. Her dream is to become an Olympic swimmer. TIA
I know this would be a hug drive, but a friend who lives in west Fort Worth has 2 kiddos in a swim program there - her daughter came in first in a big meet recently, so I know they're serious. I would check the denton aquatic center, i bet they have a swim team. Coppell has a great swim team, but it is kind of a drive. Good luck!!u
I know that the Denton Natatorium offers lessons and a swim team. I am not sure if that is quite what you are hoping for, as an Olympic swimmer will need better and more coaching that what they likely have to offer, but it could be a good start. We have considered it before, but live in Corinth and just cant stand that drive! Good luck finding what you need. ~A.~
I have heard great things about Lakeside Aquatics Club (swimlac.org). They have a team that meets in Denton.
Denton has Denton Dolphins swim team which is less commitment and less $$. They also have one level above that which is 4 nights a week practice, $$ fine if you miss practice, etc. Call Denton Natatorium.
Also, I've heard Lake Dallas Aquatics has a great swim program.
