I forund that the store brand diapers work best with my 5 mos othe baby she did the same thing the ones that work best for me were Gerrity's store brand. Maybe you should give them a try.
My son is 16 weeks old and wets through his diaper and pj's every night! I have tried all different types of diapers. He is a stomache sleeper.. yes, yes, i know "back is best".. but he wont sleep that way. Does anyone have any advice on how to prevent this saturation problem?

Do you use cloth or disposables? We use cloth and I can tell you we have NEVER had a diaper leak, even through the night. We have had leaks with disposables however. Just something to think about!
This also happened to my son, also a stomach sleeper. And both of my kids were stomach sleepers from the get-go so ignore the looks when people critize you about that. Anyways, try going up a size. Also, I have tried every diaper from every price range and I think that Luvs are the most absorbent and they are a little cheaper than Huggies or Pampers. Personally I think the more expensive the diaper the more useless gimmicks they put on them. My kids have worn Luvs and never leaked or got a rash. Good Luck.
I had the same problem with my first son he would always leak and he slept on his belly too. But i learned you have to tuck his privates down and to make sure it was in the middle as well, it sounds weird but my youngest has never leaked and i did it with both of them everytime i changed them. Also I was a big fan of luvs for when the boys were first born they are wider in the middle but i wouldnt try the huggies supreme ones cause they no matter waht i did the kids would leak hope that helps and good luck
I kinda know all about that I have 3 sons and 2 step-sons. First make sure he is dry before bed. Then when you are putting on his diaper for bed try to put his thingie downward. I used Pampers Baby-Dry till my 1 year old got a little older. Also I don't know where to find them but there are liner type things you can but to help with extra wetness in the diaper. They are kinda like a panty liner thing. I never used them but do remeber seeing them. You might want to ask a pharmacist maybe they can help you find them or even check differnt baby stores if you have any near you. Try like Babies r Us or even Toys R Us might have them I am not sure. Otherwise you can also try putting a cloth diaper over his diaper to help with sucking up the wetness. I hope that some of this help you out.
Hi K.,
My son did the same thing. I tried all different diapers and nothing seemed to work. Then my in-laws suggested just going up a size...and it actually worked. I always used Pampers for my son, they seem to work better for boys. Well I hope this helps...its worth a shot anyways.

Have you tried this trick for night time....placing 2 diapers on him but you have to rip the crotch open on the first one for fluid to drain to the second. I think this might help with the over flow troubles...
I had a similar problem when my son was little, i turned the diapers backwards. For boys its the back that absorbs best for them anyways. It worked for me. What the heck, it cant hurt to try! But as the opthers suggested, going up a size might work as well.
I don't think they make an overnight diaper for that age at least I couldn't find one 7 months ago! With your other children being older I doubt you have old diapers lying around. I usually double up my son, also a tummy sleeper, with one of his own and a bigger size that I have left from my others. I am almost out of my stash so I will probaly pick up a cheaper, store brand or the like as a bigger size and keep the diapers my baby is accostumed to close to his bottom. Sometimes my little one will wake in the night but I am hesistant to distrub him too much for a changing, I find that the double method works well.
Good luck!
a does he turn himself if so no big deal. give him his last bottle earlier
Hello K.. My name is L. and i am a mom of 4 and all 4 slept only on their stomach :). Have you tried using a bigger size of diaper. they also have diaper covers like vinyl underwear that might help. I hope you find something that works.
Hi K.,
I had the same problem with my son. I use diaper doublers at night. They are alot less exspensive than doubleing up diapers.
They work great and you can find them in the diaper section at your super market. I hope this helps.
Tami
P.S. you can use them with your favorite diapers
how many times do you change him at night. Because if you put him to bed early then you have to change him again during the middle of the night. If this does not work he is drinking too much liquids before bed.
I had this problem with my daughter. I used overnight diapers at night and Luvs the rest of the time and her leakings stopped. :)
we had the same problem with both of our kids!!! Actually as stupid as it sounds we figured out for some reason it was all the name brand diapers that leaked threw everything! Ill never use huggies, or pampers, or any of the name brand diapers because everytime my daughters wet it went straight threw everything. If you dont use them already try the store brands. Actualy the best diapers we found were white cloud. By walmart. They work GREAT! we havent had an accident yet with them! Thats the best advice i can give ya! Good Luck!
We use Pampers for our daughter (who's now 11 months) and never had a problem with leaking. We did try Huggies for a while and she ALWAYS leaked with them. I recently tried Luvs and those work well too.
K. try tucking his privates down and trey price chopper brand diapers, they hold a lot. If it doesn't work try changing his diaper after he's been asleep a few hours.
When my son was little, I had a tough time finding the answer. At some point I ended up buying overnight diapers but I don't remember at what age I finally found them. Huggies makes them and for us they were a lifesaver. At 2, we still need to use them. For a while though, we were dilegent about changing his diaper everytime he woke up, even if he didn't really need it at the time because if we didn't, eventually he would pee through. It took him over a year before he slept through the night so changing him in the middle of the night was not too tough.
i saw a lot of different suggestions but with my son the only thing that I tried worked right away. PAMPERS SWADLERS! I swear by them. Everytime my mother would watch my son she would complain about him leaking through his diper when he slept and I couldn't understand why until I found out she was using Huggies instead of the dipers I sent him with. The swadlers are the only thing we both use now and he has yet to leak through them. Trust me they might be a little more expensive but they are totally worth the money. Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.
Hey i dont know if this is the issue or not but make sure his peter is pointing down and that may help, but i also found that my son did the same thing and pampers crusiers worked the best for him....

I had this same problem when my daughter was a baby. I had to use two diapers at night and put rubber pants on her. It was the only thing that worked for me.
Good luck.
Have you tried using Huggies Overnight diapers? My babies would wet through regular diapers, but the overnights are SUPER SUPER absorbant. They're a little more expensive than regular diapers, but worth it to save in frustration!
I have a friend who puts a regular diaper on her son(18 mo) and then an overnight diaper thats a size bigger over that. I have also seen inserts that you can but to put inside a diaper. Maybe if you used an overnight diaper and those it might help. All three of my kids had that problem and as soon as they were big enough for an overnight diaper I put them in those. For the most part they work very well.
Hi K.,
Have you tried the Huggies overnights?!? Those worked best for my daughter because she kept wetting thru all the others. My other favorite was the pampers swaddlers!!! : ) Not sure his weight but I believe the swaddlers only go to a size 2, but I loved those !! Hope you find the right one soon !!!
Hi K.! We get this request all the time, and I am going to say #1, is go to huggies supreme - which are the best in my opinion, and also get some big diapers. At 16 weeks he is probabley wearing a 1 or 2.. get a bag of size 3 or 4, just for at night, and roll the top lip down in front. Works like a charm.
Have you looked into cloth? It's not the old pins and rubber pants and dunk 'em in the toilet routine anymore. Cloth diapers are cute and easy to use and work much better than disposables. http://www.diaperpin.com is a good intro.
Get a larger size. Thats what we had to do. Our son is a tummy sleeper as well. Also put a waterproof pad down under his diaper and that way its one less thing to change.
R.
Huggies always worked best for my son - who is also a tummy sleeper. He would wet right through pampers - even in a bigger size.
Also - you could try adding an extra absorbant pad inside the diaper... if the wetting is only happening at night, good luck!!
Hi K.-
Try the next size/stage up.....We used all kinds of diapers, we found pampers and luvs work the best.
Hey I know how u feel, my daughter has been a stomache sleeper since she was able to roll over. We delt w/ leaky diapers by using the huggies overnights. Buy one size bigger than his everyday diaper, they seem to run small. Good Luck.

My son was a stomach sleeper as well, so I feel your pain with everyone giving you that look. Needless to say I had the same issue with diapers and I found that the Pampers Cruisers were the best, it is also a good idea to position it off to the side just a bit when you pull the top of the diaper up to keep it from shooting straight up, this might help. I know it helped me, we will just say my son is "ugh" gifted and we had issues keeping it below the waist of the diaper.
