be really quiet and lay under a quilt?
I keep reading the title of this post as "sex stinks with no odor"... and I'm like, well, yeah...
ok guys remember I posted that we were moving into a place with no door on the master bedroom and I wasn't sure how that would affect sex life??? WELL IT HAS=( Seriously, it's put a kink in everything.
I get turned down a bunch now (well not daily J. sometimes, but in my opinion it should be never)and I turn down foreplay! If you get caught in the act you can explain away that and you can have a blanket to cover up things, but not other acitvities. So what do we do?
As of right now we are limited to "real sex" only on Saturday nights, Sundays, and Thursdays but 2 of them i have my daughter until 7 and then we have errands and things and by the time we sit down its super late. Also I feel like when it was almost daily we were both in the mood always and looked foward to it, but now that its limited he;s more likely to turn M. down =( We still have sex the days we have my daughter BUT it's not nearly as often and its strictly business and not as fun.
We rent and its cathedral cielings with a loft master bedroom, there is nothing to attach a door too. we were going to hang very heavy curtains but that still doesnt prevent her from walking in if she had a nightmare. theres nothing to lock!
suggstions???help a girl out, because i dont want to help myself out!
I love the idea of bells and also the light sensor. how would that send a light to our room when she opened her door?
Cheryl we've been finding ways but they arent as fun...well atleast for M.! he gets taken care of either way...but then again i take more work
Theresa eve been debating using a baby monitor in the hallway so we'd hear her if she was walking but for some reason the idea of a baby monitor feels wrong
haha i laughed could you imagine when the poor kid that had that alarm got older and connected an alarm with thier parents getting it on?

You need to lay traps, traps that make lots of noise so you have enough time to compose yourself before she makes it in. Maybe a door sensor that lights up when she leaves her room!
If it is a loft it has stairs? Damn shame if Tom keeps leaving his squeaky toys on the steps!! Buy him squeaky toys if you have to. :p
I see Theresa laid claim to my alarm idea, great minds think alike!
Seriously I bet Troy could find you something that looks normal, no one would notice.......
Oh, I know, gate for that darn dog!! One that has bells on the top of it for decorative value!
Sounds like the perfect time to strategically place O. of those annoying motion activated Halloween decorations, then a Thanksgiving O., then a Christmas O......
How often does she really walk into your bedroom if she is asleep in her room? If it isn't really that often and if you can hear her little footsteps then stop worrying about getting caught and have some fun. Or find a different location. The bathroom has a lock, right?
Alternatively, you could let your child know that she needs to call out to you if she needs something instead of coming into your room.
Go in the bathroom. You have a door there, right? How about a nice shower together?
Hmmm, maybe install a motion detector type of alarm between her room and yours so you'll know she's on the move before she gets there?
;)
What about a baby gate in the hall or at the entrance or stairs or something?
That way she can still call to you that she had a nightmare, but can't come in to see anything.
How old is your daughter? Maybe address her nightmare/nightwaking issue. I don't remember either of my boys ever walking into my room after they went to sleep except the time one of them puked all over himself, and came in dripping puke...We do have a door, but we don't have a lock on it.
What about taking your daughters room and giving her yours? To M. privacy would pre-vail over size.
There are also those tall room dividers, they fold and can be stretched out to seperate a room, or form a door.
Then you could hang some kind of bell on it so if shes trying to get in, it will jingle and you will hear it....????
How old is your daughter? We put a step gate in front of our daughter's door to keep the dog from pooping in her room, and it had the added bonus of letting us know when she was coming because it took her 2 or 3 tries to get it open and was really loud.
how about putting a door there? something - anything - to get some privacy.
There has to be something you can put up to give you the privacy you need and desire...
sorry you aren't getting the sex you want and desire!!! where there is a will there is a way!!! you can make this happen!!
Can you put a door at the bottom of the stairs? It may not block noises, but it would block trespassing.
ADD: If there aren't stairs, I second taking the smaller room with the door. Keep the close space in the big room and hang lower bars for her things.
Sounds like its time to get creative...in rooms with doors! Bathroom? (countertop, shower, bathtub, floor...get a thick, warm bath mat and have at it!) Den? Kitchen? Living room couch? Will you hear HER door, if it opens and you're down the hall or on another floor? Would a baby monitor help?
Good luck and enjoy!
Welcome to motherhood!
