not sure if Burbank is too far, but the Burbank Adult School Parent Education program has a workshop called "Preparing your child for new baby". I can't remember the dates for it, but you can call the school at ###-###-#### for more details.
I just learned that the hospital we plan on delivering in does not offer a sibling class. I really wanted our 3 year old daughter to take part in some formal instruction, so she could feel she has a part in getting ready for a new sibling. My husband and I have chosen not to find out the gender of the baby due in mid December.
Does anyone know of any sibling class offered to the community or privately?

Cedars has a wonderful sibling class. When I had my last baby (now 2 years old), my older daughters then 10 yrs and 5yrs old took the class.
I found out that my 10 year old was way to old for the class and my 5 year old was pushing it. Most of children were 3 and 4. However, the information they gave was useful for all ages and they even had them practice with infant dolls, watch a video, and took them on a tour of the hospital. (the only thing is the video was a little graphic, but necessary) They were totally ready for the baby.
Call Jana Wernor of Supported Birth (wonderful class), I think she will be able to help you out! Congratulations to your growing family!

We're taking our daughter to a sibling class at Cedars-Sinai this weekend. Here is the weblink - http://www.csmc.edu/7119.html
Let me know if you want more information after this weekend.

St. Joe's in Burbank offered a class when I was pregnant a couple years ago. Not in Hollywood, but right off the 134... worth calling and asking!
