You are not being paranoid. Just frustrated like the rest of us! I am mom to 2 boys, 2 years and 4 years. They have always been to daycare with the exception of an 8 month stint at home with a nanny last year. Since January, we have averaged a fever bug every 3-4 weeks. We have also had a stomach bug (whole house), croup, multiple sinus infections, and roseola. It is the most frustrating feeling in the world. I took my 2yo son to the doctor Monday (fever bug)and asked if it was possible for him to have an immune globulin deficiency. She said it was not likely since he is growing and thriving and reaching his milestones and that a fever bug once a month is no big deal for his age. My 4yo can have up to 7-8 fever bugs a year and still be within the average for his age group. Like you, I am researching ways to keep them healthier. We are starting a daily multivitamin with immune booster (get them at Walgreen's) and trying to be absolutely diligent that they wash their hands before all meals and snacks.
Good luck and hang in there! I hope all of our kids get better soon!
