Boy do I feel for you! My baby is doing the same thing, stuffy, fever, teething, the works. The biting began a week ago and blood was drawn so for me the weaning begins. A lot of people wouldn't, but all four of my kids nursed until one and with each one of them something occurred that we would easily wean. That one is your call.
I agree with Barb, try a humidifier sometimes that helps (probably your husband too). I alternate Tylenol and Motrin every two hours when she is real bad. This seems to keep her somewhat mellow and not in so much pain. Just keep in mind, this is a temporary solution. I will usually do it for one day then either less or not at all the next day. It's a lot of medicine (doctor suggestion). Another thing I keep doing that I constantly get reminded of by my husband is she gets too hot. So as soon as the fever breaks she has long sleeve pants and shirt and begins to sweat and get hot so I strip her down and it helps tremendously. As soon as she cools off I dress her again. Other than that, I cannot think of another thing that I do, a lot of times it is just a horrible "poor me" worrisome time. I promise it goes away.
Good luck, hope everyone gets better so you can take a rest.
P.S. Oops Forgot to mention Black Elder Berry Extract from the health food store. Helps fight off whatever ailment you have, will work for your husband too.
