Ok ladies, I am about two months pregnant with my second child. This one has been a bit harder than my first. I hardly had any sickness with my dd but with this one I feel sick 24/7. I eat and I'm nauseous I dont eat I'm nauseous. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas to help me not feel so yucky all the time.

What can I do next?

Hi S.,

I moved here from Chicago!! I have been here about a year and love it.

Congratualtions on the new baby!! Eat dry bread, wheat if you can handle it toast it but don't put on to much butter it is better for your stomach dry, saltines but be careful of the salt. You may want to aternate between salted and unsalted crackers. Those two things help absorb the acid in your stomach. When you feel like you want to try a little something more substantial, try noodles with just a little butter for taste, NO SAUCE!!! That will make your stomach worse or you could try a little plain rice with butter. Just take it easy on the butter. A lttle salt won't hurt but be careful with that. Salt can make you retain water. A good thing if you are being to sick and need to keep hydrated but it could also raise your blood pressure. You don't want that during pregnancy! I also used to like to nibble on Kix cereal. It had a little flavor but being dry, it did help my stomach.

Good luck, this will pass and before you know it you will have your new baby!!!

Merry Christmas!

E.

Hi S.

Been there done that :)

They have Preggy Pops at Motherhood that should help with naseau and if you could find any candied ginger that would help too.

Good Luck.

it's a boy! lol...just kidding =) congrats, and i really feel for you. w/ my daughter i had morning sickness only in the morning for 4 months...my son, all flippin' day for 5-6 months. that's how i know i was having a boy =) nothing really helped me as far as food went...i tried everything. the only thing that helped was getting nausea meds from my mid-wife. i was already drained & tired, so i was given some that didnt make you sleepy. THEY WORKED WONDERS!!! i wish i could remember the name, but it's been awhile. so i would suggest talking to your dr at the next visit, and maybe they can you something. congrats again, and happy holidays

congratulations for your pregnancy! I know that sipping Powerade in the morning helped me! It has vitamin B12 in it which is suppose to help settle your stomach.

Good luck!
