He'll be fine. And you'll have a story to tell. One of my friend's kids ate a piece of goose poop once. He was fine.
My 3 yr old went potty and forgot to flush and close the restroom door, so my 18 month old went in the restroom and got some pee soaked toilet paper and a turd and comes trotting down the hall putting the poop in his mouth...aaaahhhhh!!!! It was so disgusting! I don't think he actually ate any bc he touched it to his tongue and was spitting like crazy, I of course cleaned him, his mouth etc. so have any of your kids done this? I mean I figure we aren't the first.....I don't feel overly concerned, just wondering if your kids that have done this got sick?? Thanks!

LOL He'll be fine. No, he won't get sick. It's the food broken down. It's sterile until it sits out for awhile and decomposes further. Poop is the undigested part of what his brother ate. It's mostly fiber. It doesn't contain bacteria or virus unless your son is ill. Even then, he's not likely to get sick because he'd already have been exposed to those pathogens. You son will be fine.
As a police officer, I've seen children who have eaten poop and they were fine.
my grandmother tells me as a baby my father ate dog poop in the back yard!
my daughter painted her window and herself with a poopie diaper and was totally creepy like a crazy insane person and it really freaked me out. thank God my husband was there to help. but i am sure it got on her lips in her face. its discusting. i think at 18 months they are still feeling things with there toung and putting everything in there mouth . i doubt he was like yum a snack but more like wtheck is this and discovering it. so sorry!!!
My nephew did this when he was little too. He never got sick, but the rest of us weren't feeling too good when we saw it! :)
mine also ate poop and didn't get sick. It is possible.
Oh no! My kids have never done this! I would call my pediatrician and ask for advice. They might recommend a probiotic supplement or something to take to try and prevent the gastroenteritis that might result.
He could get hand, foot, and mouth disease which is a viral infection. Lots of kiddos get it. I wouldn't worry but just be aware of the symptoms just in case.
