I try to make large batches, freeze in ice cube trays, then store in ziplocks in freezer with the contents and date written outside. For example, buy a few bags of organic frozen peas, cook them as you normally would, put them into the blender (along with the water you cooked them in - this will help make the puree thinner and less lumpy) on puree, then pour them into the icecube trays and cover with plastic wrap. You may need to buy a few extra trays if you still want to use a couple for making ice. Then you can just microwave the cube or cubes (depending on age and appetite) for 30-45 seconds, stir, test temperature and serve! You can keep lots of different veggies in their bags in the freezer and give a few in the same bowl for variety. And when you introduce a new veggie or fruit, you can just combine it with one you know he/she already likes.

i make almost all of my baby's food. it helps to have a hand held immersion blender. you just steam any fruit or veg then puree it. So far we have done pears zucchini carrot sweet potato squash avocado peach banana apple peas. i also give her some whole wheat bread. Next month at 8months we will start some protein. i do oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast, a veg for lunch and rice cereal and veg and bread at dinner. good luck

I definitely agree with the other two posters about starting with green veggies first.

I really relied on a website called Wholesomebabyfood.com to guide me when it came to recipes and pureeing ideas. They have great timeline charts and a great variety of recipes for your little one. This is the link for the 6-8 month feeding chart. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/solidfood6to8montholdbab...
I hope it helps. I had other friends who went out and bought all of the books for making baby food, but we found that the books and this site as pretty much the same advice and recipe ideas.

I would start with the green veggies first. The orange one's are sweeter and most likely once they get a taste of those they won't want the green ones. Same thing with fruits I would wait until you have done all of the veggies and then introduce fruits. Good luck!!

I'd suggest you start with the green veggies first and then move to orange veggies (which are the sweeter ones and then move to fruits). Your little one will mostly like like fruits b/c they are sweet -- who doesn't like sweets? :)

Hopefully you'll help her develop a love aof all fruite and veggies but start with the green ones would be my recco.
