Has your doctor suggested "pelvic floor physical therapy" ? Maybe something like that would help, before you go to a surgical option?
I saw my Gyn. about stress incontinence, I leak when I exercise. She wants to put in a TOT sling, I am very worried about the procedure and wondered if anyone had experience with this. Has anyone had this problem and they did non surgical interventions that worked? I have done Kegel's like crazy without any affect on the problems. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hi K.,
The first time I tried our new tampoline was a very embarassing moment. After that I went on it when no one was around and after I went to the bathroom. In the long run, jumping on it every day, really helped my ability to hold it!
Good luck!

Nan made me giggle, i have leaked on the trampoline twice! I was told that it was from four pregnancies and there was not much i can do about it. I did not realize there was surgery...it sounds a little scary though. I do agree that kegels don't work! You will have to let me know what you decide. I wish you luck.
Hi K.,
Some Docs are using the biofeedback for incontinence therapy. Did she suggest that?
Look on line for more information.
Hope this helps. D.
If you do decide to go the surgical route I would see a urologist rather than letting my OB do the surgery. My mother had the same thing and had a pretty invasive surgery by her OB to do a sling but it didn't last. She had to have a second surgery less than 5 years later to fix the sling. The second time she went to a urlogist and he did a different kind of sling but did it laporscopically (sp?) and the recovery was much better. He was also better with follow up care when she was having some issues he was able to fix it non-surgically.
Good luck.
