My daughter is 14 months and I would love to have her learn to swim. Does anyone know of a place that teaches children this young? I live in Ukranian Village and would like to find something somewhat nearby!

I know there are classes at Galter Center starting in June. Not sure how it is but my friend said the water is warm.
Depaul offers classes.
YMCA starts at 6 mos. Check out hte branch locations at ymcachgo.org. Galter center is also supposed to be good. I've known people who like their classes.

They have Tiny Tot Swim at the pool at Eckhart Part on Chicago & Noble. My husband used to take my son and they loved it. I think it was only $20 also to register. I'm not sure their schedule right now but if you check out the Chicago Park District website I'm sure you can find more information :)
lakeview ymca has good water classes for little ones. they have 'shrimp and kippers' and 'shrimp and gym'--water only and water with activities in the gym. it is near the whole foods at belmont/lincoln/ashland intersection. the next schedule should be coming out any day now for classes which begin in two weeks. lakeviewymca.org
