Local community junior colleges often offer lessons from infants on. Might check the pricing there.

I have taken my daughter to AquaKids and Emler and I like Emler the best it is in Collyeville.

Well, I started with Different Strokes Swim School for my 3 year old twins. They didn't really have a goal for the kids, the class was very unorganized and the teacher was a 'grandmother' type who didn't have patience for 3 year olds. She actually said to me that kids are given to people when they are young and not old because the young have patience. I would honestly never go back. I went there initally due to costs compared to Emler, but when you divide the amount of money per class it equals about to about the same. Remember you have to compare enviroments as well (i.e. indoor vs. outdoor). So, I have enrolled by twins in Emler now and the first class blew all other classes as Different Strokes Swim School out of the water. Way better! Good luck!!!!!

Kids tend to learn a lot from other kids so I personally think private lessons are a waste. Plus, its fun for kids to be with other kids! Different Strokes Swim School offers both indoor and outdoor classes, private or small group: www.differentstrokesswimschool.com

Good Luck!

I, too, have heard it's best to do group lessons for 3 year-olds, as they learn from others and are more willing to try things if they see other kids doing them. I've looked around quite a bit. While Emler is supposed to be good, it's overpriced, in my opinion - $215 for 2 weeks of lessons. The city of Grapevine does swim lessons for around $60 a child, as does Keller Pointe.
