Tampons After Pregnancy?

I have given birth (vaginally) to two amazing boys (5 years and 18 mo). I am wondering if anyone else has had problems, after pregnancy, with tampons...not doing their job, so to speak. I feel like they "leak". I take it out and it barely has anything on/in it. Is this a common problem? I use the "Super" flow ones. Any thoughts??

What can I do next?

I only had 1 baby and never had issues after she was born.

However, I could not use Tampax (even before having a baby) I ONLY used Playtex.

Luckily I have not had to worry about it for 10+ years due to hysterectomy which was the best thing I ever did.

Try Playtex tampons before you throw in the towel. They splay out, unlike Tampax.

Yep', hate them now. I bought myself some new menstrual cups. So comfy. No clue why I used tampons.

I didn't notice any difference.
I eventually switched to a Diva cup (and quit using tampons) and was happy with it for many years until menopause (and now I don't need anything!).

It takes awhile for the muscles to regain their tone after birth.
Kegels help get things back to pre pregnancy tone faster than not doing them.

Oh yeah, I've definitely had his problem. The best ones I've found are "sport" versions, with a liner just in case... But I definitely feel you on the dry tampons, yet somehow leaking. Very annoying, and a waste of tampons.

I want to try a menustral cup once I'm done with this pregnancy. :)

I've had 2 vaginal births (although one was just a week ago), but after my first it took about 9 months to wear them and feel comfortable again (I use regular or sport) and stay in place. The first few times I tried them they hurt or felt like they were falling out. Not sure what's in store this time though. Can't say I'm looking forward to it. I did try a cup before I had kids and it was awful. Maybe if tampons don't work this time I'll give it another try. Good luck!

I've had a couple literally fall out of me!
I've had to change around different brands and absorbencies to find ones that work for me now.

Not sure how they work after pregancy....as I just cannot wear them anymore. They are so uncomfortable! I never had this problem before kids.

I didn't have vaginal deliveries, but found the same problem. I tried different brands, shapes, sizes (supers never worked).

I ended up with an IUD so the most I need now is a liner.
