Teacher Appreciation Week - Carterville,IL

I always did just the teachers. If you feel like you want to do the others though I would do that too. It's always nice to be told you're appreciated. But really it's just for the teachers. :)

I personally would just do the teachers. It is a week to celebrate them and make them feel special.

There are days for everyone. I know secretaries and principals have one for sure. You could try googling them. If there is not a special day for all postitions at the school maybe your brownie troop could come up with a day to celebrate everyone else.

But wait, it is almost the end of the school year so you probably missed secretaries day and principals day. Hmmm Okay I change my vote. Do it for everyone!

At my children's elementary school, we include the entire staff.

Usually Teacher appreciation week applies only to teachers, and the other staff members are honored during a separate time. There is a week for paras, a school nurse day, Secretaries' day, etc. If you ask the school for a calendar of all these special days, I'm sure they'd be happy to help you. What a nice idea! Little crafts are always so appreciated.

There are days/weeks to celebrate support staff (paraprofessionals, assistant teachers, custodians, etc) at other times during the year, as well as secretaries day and boss' day. You may try to figure out if they were celebrated and if not, do everyone. If so, just do the teachers. Usually secretaries know everything that goes on at a scchool, so I would start there and see! ;)

I think you should include at least the principals and maybe the superintendant. They were once teachers themselves and also help the guide the teachers into giving your kids the best they can. The secretaries have a Secretaries day I believe coming up soon so they already have their own day. Maybe your brownie troop can make another day special for the Janitors, Cooks and other support personnel at the school so they have their own special day too. (Don't forget the bus drivers if your school has them.) I hope this helps a little.

Our school had different weeks for teachers, for secretaries and for support staff. Find out how your school handles this..

Teachers included all student teachers, teacher assistants, all therapist, the IT person and the Librarian.

Secretaries was also the Principal, Asst Principal, and Counselor.

Support staff was custodians, lunch ladies and gentleman, school nurse, crossing guards and bus drivers.

All the staff and please include the bus driver, because he brings most of the children to the school

No just make them for the teachers and do something else special for the secretaries and principals later.

I agree that you should probably find out if the other days are celebrated for the support staff, but something to consider is that all of those people are still responsible for teaching your children, even though they are not labeled "teachers". They teach respect of the bathroom areas and cafeteria floors, they teach nutrition, etc. If you have the means to include everyone, I would. As someone else mentioned, it's nice to feel appreciated.
