M., B/C I'm lazy right now, please go and look at my profile, and my answers. I have a whole thing on this, that has worked amazing for our family. Worth looking into! Clove Oil! Let me know if you can't find it! Good luck!
Mybaby girl is teething and at night she can't sleep due to the pain and discomfort. She is still too young to be able to hold onto a teething ring, tylenol and motrin have not worked, and massaging can't be done during the night all night. What do i do? I have heard that it is ok to rub a little rum on their gums....................would you do this if you have exhausted all efforts. Please help me.

Have you tried teething tabs? They were a godsend in our home.
I, personally, am thrilled to hear about the clove oil as I have an early teether as well. I feel for you mama! I will NOT allow hylands teething tablets in our house, they are dangerous. I do use Boiron, though. Also homeopathic and a far more trustworthy company in my humble opinion. They have a remedy called Camilia for teething. The remedy is nice bc it comes in individual doses in a disposable vial that is easy to give to a baby. I would not do anymore tylenol or motrin. I don't know that it's safe and frankly not a good option for a long term problem anyway. I know it's hard when your baby is in pain. You say it's worse at night? While pain is usually worse at night there is also another idea to consider. Could it be an ear infection? When babies scream as soon as you lay them down that is often the only indication that they have one. Laying down is SO painful when you have an ear infection. Garlic oil lightly warmed in the ear will offer safe and instant pain relief. Might be worth while to have the doc look in the ears. Blessings and hope your sweet baby feels better soon.
teething tablets. they are awesome!
I agree with others to get ears checked. If tylenol and motrin are not helping at all and it is that much worse at night, it might be worth a trip to the dr to rule out ears or something else. I definitely DO NOT think you should use a little rum. Even "a little" being absorbed into the blood stream could cause alcohol poisoning in a young baby. I would use the natural remedies mentioned in the other responses. Try baby orejel? Some babies are just more sensitive to the teething pain. It sucks! Good luck to you and your DD!
Baby Oragel and chill her pacifier.
I would ask your doctor because I found odd that neither Tylenol and Motrin isn't working, maybe is something else? Both my kids had ear problems when they were little that didn't let them sleep.
