I live in the Western suburbs in a 2700 sf 4 bed, 3.5 bath home, with a very messy toddler who is potty training (not the best aim, if you get my meaning.) Our lady comes once every 3 weeks, spends about 7 hours, and charges $120.
Hi, Moms.
I live just west of the City of Chicago. Could any of you please tell me a fair rate/hour to pay a cleaning lady? This would be paid to the individual, not to a cleaning service.
Thank you in advance.
Amy
Thank you, Everyone.
I have found someone to clean my house. I will refer to your responses again if I need to find someone else.
I live in the Western suburbs in a 2700 sf 4 bed, 3.5 bath home, with a very messy toddler who is potty training (not the best aim, if you get my meaning.) Our lady comes once every 3 weeks, spends about 7 hours, and charges $120.
We live in Chicago and pay $100 for our 2600 SF, 3 story, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house. It takes her about 4 to 4 1/2 hours and she comes every other week.
I do not have a cleaning lady, but would think after hearing others that they can make anywhere from 15 plus an hour. Depends on where, who, etc.
I have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and have a cleaning lady come out once every 4-6 weeks and she charges $95.00 and pretty much stays until the house is in tip top order (most times, she's there 7-8 hours). I've tried other places and didn't like the fact that the same person didn't come all the time (even when asked for the same person).
You need to estimate how many hours it takes to clean your home (for a professional, not you, they are faster) and then it is $10 and up per hour, depends on the cleaner (experience, or none, references, need to make money, distance she has to travel, etc.) I think this will give you an idea where to start.
Good luck!
We pay $45 and she cleans 1 every two weeks. It takes you 1.5-2 hrs. we have a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo.
I pay $75 every 2 weeks for my 4 bed 2 bath house (not a big house). She takes about 2.5 hours to clean it, but she is very efficient.
