The Tummy Tuck Belt

So I am now a victim of the late night info-mercial. I ordered the tumy-tuck belt after watching halfan hour of its glories on TV while nursing at 3 am. Well aware of my mommy tummy that needs a little help. So I thought that if I combined the tummy tuck belt with weightwatchers, I could have some awesome results. Right? I thought it was a brilliant idea. (most ideas seem that way at 3 am. hmmm)
So, no where on the website did it mention any warnings for nursing women, but when it arrived yesterday, the back of the Thermal accelerator cream says: Caution: Not for use by pregnant or nursing women. So, is it the system (like the diet, which I am not following), or is it the cream that I can't use. And if I am only nursing 2-3 times a day does that still count as being a nursing mom- as far as the cream is concerned? Yes I can call my dr, but it is so much easier to ask you guys first to see what you think.
The belt is suppposed to help melt belly fat by raising your core temp. You rub in the cream then put on the tummy belt, do two minutes of the strangest crunches I've ever seen, wear the belt for 8 more minutes and you're done! You're s'posed to do this twice a day and lose belly fat like nobody's business.
Is there anywhere online I can look up the ingredients as they pertain to breastfeeding?
Thanks for the input!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everybody! I really appreciate your taking the time to chime in and help me get my head on straight. I agree; the cream sounds hokey and I am not willing to risk the health of my baby. I can do the exersises w/o the cream and see if they do any good.
BTW, I eat pretty healthy (not fanatic, but def not a junk food junkie), and I exercise (cardio) 35 min at least 3x a week. It just doesn't seem to be working. That's why I joined weightwatchers. I have lost 4.4 lbs my first week! YAY! I guess I just wanted even faster results. I will be sending this back! Thanks again!

Compression garments have been used with some effect. This looks like it works similarly to those. The way it fits, may enable you to do a more proper crunch. I would wear the belt, do the crunches, and forgo the cream. It looks like the cream is the most bogus part of the whole deal.

What's the return policy? Last I checked, targeted fat loss and spot reduction is still unattainable. If it does work, let me know, I'm happy to wear a belt, rub some cream on my belly and tone up.

Good luck to you and yours,

Well, if it worked...no one would have any tummy fat. Plastic surgeons offering tummy tucks would be out of business.

Get your money back.

I actually think the raising of the core temp is going to be an issue here in addition to what ingredients may be in the cream. If I were you I would wear a corset or spanx to help shape your body for the time being and work on your abs manually. You could also call the company I am sure there is a customer service line as well as call your doctor. To be honest, I do not think there is going to be a "quick fix" here, best of luck to you though.

If this is supposed to raise your temp it could raise the temp of your milk as well. If it the belt that raises the temp or the cream?

I agree with Fanged Bunny's post. Find out how you can get your money back. That device is a total scam. The only way to lose any kind of fat is have the calories that you expend be more than what you take in. It's that simple.

Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. There's a multi-billion dollar industry that takes advantage of those who want to lose weight. Raising your core temperature does not melt away body fat and neither do any creams. As Fanged Bunny also said, you cannot target a specific area of the body and spot reduce fat from it. The only way to lose weight/fat, and keep it off, is through diet and exercise. Eat more fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water, and get moving. You don't have to run a marathon; even taking the baby out for a 20-30 minute walk while you push the stroller will benefit you greatly. You'll lose your baby weight more slowly, but it will stay off for good.

I would definitely refrain from using this as long as you are nursing. Creams, lotions, etc., can be absorbed into the body and then the chemicals which may, or may not, be harmful, would be ingested (thru the milk) by your nursing baby. They may be totally safe but they put this warning on because there is a minute chance of risk.

Can you use the belt without the creams for now? I would go that route if possible until you're totally finished nursing.

Kudos on nursing your baby!! I absolutely loved the time spent nursing my two.
