I have two very good friends who have incredibly thick hair. They both swear by "Show Me Styles" on Fyler in Saint Louis. One loves Jill. The other loves Shae. Both of them always look great!
I live in St Louis area and have been here for 10 years and can not find a hair dresser who can cut my thick hair. My normal hair dresser is 2 hours away and having health issues so she can not do my hair. If any of you can tell me who you go to and why you continue to return to them please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
M.

My sister in law owns her own shop in Florissant, Salon 67. Her phone number is ###-###-#### ask for Becky. I have referred a number of people to her and they are always very happy!
M., I have long thick wavy hair (with cowlicks) and finally found a lady named Carrie who works at Fantastic Sam's in Manchester in Lafayette Square that gives me great haircuts. I have been going to her for four years and haven't gotten one bad cut. I had short hair the first year I went to her and she still got it right...as you can tell, I'm very impressed.

Hi M.! I go to a GREAT hairdresser who is also listed on Mamasource:
http://www.mamasource.com/business/7874437283095511041/de...
If the link doesn't work, she's listed as "Hair Angie" under the Beauty & Fitness / Hair Care & Salons category. She's located in Brentwood and is really fabulous! I don't personally have thick hair, but she has done razor cuts on me and I always loved the look. I have several friends who also go to her and have been very happy! One has thicker hair and one has very curly hair, so Angie's great at all kinds.
I hope this helps!
I'm not sure where you live, but my mom has her own shop in Florissant called Shear Excitement. She's been doing hair for over 20 years and she's always kept up with the latest styles. She's priced INCREDIBLY low compared with some of the snooty hair salons in town. She's done all kinds of hair, mine just so happens to be pretty thick as well and she always does a great job on it. I'm constantly sending co-workers her way everytime she tries a new style on me. She runs her own shop and usually only has a couple of people in at a time, so you get full attention and the service is very personal. I hope that helps- I thank God everyday I've got a mom who's a hairdresser as I can't imagine having to find someone good on my own...! :) Hope that helps. She's wonderful and her name is Pattie. ###-###-####.
M.,
I have really thick hair as well. I have NEVER gotten a bad hair cut from my hairdresser I have gone to off and on for several years. I actually used to teach her daughter in pre-school. Her name is Carol and she works at a salon off of Schuetz road just south of Lackland in a little plaza with a Subway and a pizza shop...anyway, it is called Tangles and I think she works Tues thru Thurs, and Saturday. She is really good, takes her time, and if you get and early appointment, she may not be running late! lol...she really does take her time! And it is really fun to go there. They should have a reality show! Here is the number: ###-###-####
Good luck!! V.
I have thick hair and so does my mom and sister. I get my hair cut by Kitty at The Chase Salon. SHe does razor cuts sometimes, and other things other times, but I love it because she cuts it in a way that it grows out beautifully. Plus, she cuts it just how I want it. I have taken my mom and my sister there as well, and they both get great cuts, my mom goes to Becca and My sister goes to Kelly, my daughter has thick hair too and she goes to Becca as well. It's funny because when we all go together, we have salon days, our stylists argue over who's hair is thicker. The chase is in the Ceentral West end in St. Louis, if you want the number, let me know.
hi-
i hate to promote myself, but i can handle thick hair. i have worked in the creve couer/ clayton area for 15 years. i have day, evening and saturday apts available. i am curly girl certified (even though i have staight hair), and have kept up with chemistry and trend changes in the industry. i always cut hair wet and dry to make sure the cut responds to the hairs natural growth pattern making the grow out and styling process much easier.
best of luck no matter where you go. i know how traumatic bad hair can be.
