Go to the Arboretum. They have the pumpkin patch for the kids there.
I have some friends coming in from California this weekend. They are unmarried and w/o kids and I'd like to show them a good time while they are here. I also have my two children and after my daughters recent seizure episode I refuse to leave her anywhere out of my site so I'll have both daughters in tow. I'm thinking about going Ice-skating on Sunday but for Saturday I'm clueless. Please help!!!

Go to the fair!! You'll have loads of fun and they'll get a real taste of Texas. We went last night and had a fried PB&J and banana sandwich--sounds gross but it was awesome and alot of fun. Also, go to the Dallas Arboretum--it's beautiful this time of year with a great pumpkin patch. have fun!!
I second the suggestion for the Arboretum. The Dallas Museum of Art works- there is a hands on kid place in the middle to break it up for the kids. Take the Dart Rail to downtown Plano- it is nice and has some good lunch places....
Have fun!
If you live near McKinney, there is Roundup on the Range. Check it out at http://www.roundupontherange.com/index.htm. It looks like a great time. And your friends from California will get to see Texas the way it used to be.
The FAIR the FAIR. We went Tuesday and it was wonderful. What an experience We are new to Texas and this was the first time we went. I could not beleive all the animals they had. Loma, Geraff, Kangaroo and baby too getting inside of mama, ostrich, pigs, cows, etc, etc. My 2 year old and 6 year old loved it!
depending on where you live, you can visit Firewheel Golf Course in Garland for the annual fall fest. There is lots to do and its cheap!
