The Dallas Arboretum is the most beautiful place, my family goes there 6-8 times per year. We always get great photos.
Right now they have a house built out of pumpkins, a pumpkin patch and pumpkins all over the 66 acres.
Enjoy!
I'm looking for a good place near the Richardson area to take some fall pictures of my 6 month old. I've been to Owens Spring Creek Farm in the past, but not sure it's worth paying the admission to just go take pictures there. In years past I've noticed some area churches do little pumpkin patches where you can by pumpkins, but I haven't noticed any in the Richardson area this year. Any ideas for a good place to take some "pumpkin patch" photos of my little one?

The Dallas Arboretum has a field of pumpkins and you can take all the photos you want.
Custer Road UMC has a pumpkin patch and an area set up for pictures. It's at Custer Rd. & Legacy in north Plano, a little drive but a great photo opp.
I also recommend the Dallas arboretum! I took some of my little one a few weeks ago and they are great! If you go on Wednesdays, the admission is buy one get one free, so admission is $8 for 2 adults and kids are free under 2.
We went to the Dallas Arboretum because they have pumpkins everywhere and it was so neat. I took some great pictures of my 9 month old and everyone said they look professional because the setting was perfect but the fall theme ends there Nov. 2nd.
I live in Rowlett and there is a really pretty set up at Dalrock and 66. If you take 190 to Rowlett Rd. then take a left on 66. When you get to Dalrock take a right and you will see it right past the church on your right side. We took the kids there yesterday.. VERY nice people.. and on Friday they said that they are having a BIG Halloween party for all of the kids.. train rides, bounce houses, candy, games.. good luck :)
I'm not sure if this is close to the side of Richardson you live on so I thought I'd share it with you, just in case. My church has a pumpkin patch with a picture area set up for personal use (no purchase necessary). We are at the edge of Richardson in a little town called Murphy. If you take Renner to Murphy Road and head north on Murphy Road, my church: Murphy Road Baptist Church, would be on your left before you reach FM544.
There is also a pumpkin patch at the Episcopal Church in the Lake Highlands area. It is at Audelia and McCree, which is just south of the intersection of Audelia and McCree. I think the admission is free, but you can buy pumpkins as well. The Arboretum is beautiful as well, especially with this weather. I believe it is $8 per adult.
The Dallas Arboretum is a great place to take pictures! Lots of options and they have their pumpkin displays now.

Hi,
Richardson East Church of Christ usually has a Fall Festival with decorations where you could take pictures. Some people call R.E.C.C. the "CARE Church" near Plano and Campbell Road. ###-###-####.
I hope you are able to find a place to take pictures that you like!

Not sure where in Richardson you are looking but there is a small patch at a church at the corner of Arapaho/Coit on the Northeast corner. you might try there. You could also try calloways nursery, I'm sure that they have an area of pumpkins that you could get some sweet pictures.
Trick or Treating I believe was this weekend at the Arboretum! It's always great!
The Cornerstone United Methodist Church at 7502 North Garland Rd in Garland has a great pumpkin patch. There isn't any charge to enter and they have some little spots set up for picture taking. It is close to Richardson in the Campbell Rd and North Garland Rd area. Have Fun!
