I've read some other requests and everyone has so many useful answers!
I was wondering with fall here, if there are any pumpkin patches or corn maizes fairly close by? Within an hours drive? I've tryed 'googling' but I have come up empty handed!
Thank you in advance!

Try Samuel Farms in Sunnyvale.
There are right down the road from Mesquite. Service rd of Hwy 80 a little past Beltline Rd.
I know they do all kinds of stuff for fall.

I found this website while I was looking for the one we usually go to. It may help but I couldn't actually find Dallas county . Some of them are still not too far. from here. (I am in garland on the edge of Mesquite)http://www.pumpkinpatchesandmore.org/TXpumpkins.php
This is the place I have been to. It is pre-picked pumkins. and has a petting zoo and a hay ride. I haven't been in two years but the last time I went. you got to milk a cow. pet goats. see pigs and piglets. pet turkeys and geese. They had a zebra and a camel. and a hosre and a donkey. They did a little talk and the horse did tricks and then they had a pig race. I went with my daughters preschool class on a field trip they loved it. My church was thinking about trying to go this year but I don't know if they ever decided. I am pretty sure the pumpkin is included in the price of admission $12. Hope some of this helps.

There is a corn maze in Caddo Mills, east of Royce City off I-30 near the Redline Raceway. I think it is exit #78 or 83.

Arboretum does sell pumpkins (see response below). And lately have had a hay bale maze (not quite a corn field maze - definitely easier - but better for my kids). We take the kids every year and they love it.

At the Dallas Arboretum they have a pumpkin patch and a hay bale maze. Its great fun for families. I highly recommend it. They also have pioneer village with houses, schools that are like playhouses for the kids to explore.

Not sure where you're located, but there's a pumpkin patch at the Arboretum for great pictures (but not sure they sale pumpkins) and also Owens Farm (in Richardson off of Jupiter Rd. and Campbell). Owens Farm also has hay rides, petting zoo, and train/barrel rides...lots of fun for the younger kiddos :)
