I live on the border of san jose and campbell, and I am looking for a good place to start swim lessons for my 1 year old. Does anyone know a good place that is not too far?

What can I do next?

AVAC (Almaden Valley Athletic Club) is on the corner of Camden and Kooser in San Jose. They are signing up for summer now I believe. I have been taking my 8 month old daughter there since March (she was 6 months). All of the instructors are very friendly and it is certainly a kid-centric atmosphere.

I just signed up for parent/child swim lessons through the City of San Jose's Parks & Rec. The classes will be held at Del Mar High School. This is the first time I'm doing this, so I'm not sure how the class is run. But thought it may be an option for you to pursue.

I am looking for the same for my 1 1/2 year old who has no fear of water and is almost uncontrollable in the pool because she wants to swim by herself SO BADLY.

Let me know if you find someone, Id love to sign my child up as well.
