I am an active duty military mom, a buisness owner, and a student. My question is: HOW DO I BALANCE A SOCIAL LIFE WITH ALLLL THAT I HAVE GOING ON?

What can I do next?

I will definetly schedule some much needed "play time" in order to remain level headed. I do belive in having a well balanced life but sometimes I put everything and everyone in front of my needs and desires. Thanks for the advice yall!

Get your calendar out and carve some time for yourself! The upside is that you won't be a student forever? I don't know what business you own but do you have an employee that can "hold down the fort" while you have some me time? Are your kids school age so you can get some time during the day for lunch with some friends? If you are active duty and running a business is this the best time to also be in school yourself?

Hi S. - there are just times like this that are really busy and they feel out of balance. These are the times you may only be able to give yourself some "simple pleasures" rather than big blocks of time for fun. Blocking time for your kids, for yourself, for friendships is definitely important but you may have to multi-task while you do them.

This may be a time in your life where a social life is not going to be as often as you like..

Try to find least 1 day or a few hours a week to either do something for yourself or to get together with other people..

It is just like scheduling anything else.. Look at a calendar and find the time..

I have lots of good friends I never get to see as much as I would like.. We really try to be flexible for last minute things, but also try to plan at least 1 meet up a month at best.

I have a group of friends we call ourselves the "lunch bunch". We attempt to meet once a month for lunch.. Yes it can take 12 emails to get it set up, but it is so much fun.. Most times we can only meet for an hour and a half or 2 hours for lunch, but gosh I feel amazing afterwards!
