Yep, Dr. Paul Thomas. He's a wonderful, WONDERFUL guy, and totally supports an alternative vaccine schedule. I wish we'd used him when my son was tiny and getting all his shots, but I'm go glad we've found him now.
hi OR moms, I'm moving to Beaverton in two weeks and I'm looking for a pediatrician who will support our decision to not give our son vaccines until he is 2. anyone have a recommendation? thanks!

We take our little one to see Doc. Paul Thomas in Portland. He's in between Cedar Hills Blvd. and Hwy 217, on Barnes Road. He's been wonderful in helping us with our decision to not vaccinate our child. We live in Beaverton as well and the commute is very easy!

I also recommend Paul Thomas. You'll love him!
Whatever practice you choose, vaccination is your choice. How they feel about it means precisely squat. Having a doctor on board might make it a little easier, but if you do end up with a doctor that pressures you to immunize just remember that it is your decision.
I second Dr. Thomas, he is great!
I love Dr. Judy Peabody in Beaverton ###-###-####. She loves kids too & has lots of experience.
I will support the last several posts and recommend Paul Thomas too. He was our pediatrician from 2004 until we moved last fall. I would still go to him if we didn't live so far away now. He recently started his own practice so he could practice the way he wanted, specifically with immunizations. He is located near St. Vincent Medical Center. Good luck!
I'd recommend Dr. Paul Thomas. His website is http://integrativepediatricsonline.com/. His office is near St. Vincent's Hospital and the intersection of Hwy 26 and Hwy 217.
As a parent, I do not support your decision. Everyone has a responsabilty to maintain herd-immunity.
It isn't science per-se, it is math to calculate the population density and chance for an unstoppable epidemic.
Surely you will be fine. Because it is just you and your child. However, when it is everyone's child thinking selfishly the system breaks down: was it Riverdale in Dunthorp/Lake Oswego that had a measles outbreak after a student visiting overseas returned and infected all the non-immunized children?
Once again, your child statistically will be fine, however, I would NOT allow MY non-immunized child to sit in Dr. Thomas' waiting room full of non-immunized other children that could be carrying a disease the CDC has been working earnestly to erradicate.
