I have always had some what of vaginal discharge yeast infections run in my family, & I know the discharge increases while pregnant. While I was wondering if after will the discharge go away or ease up at all because it's horrible.

What can I do next?

Normal. It'll go away after you have the baby. Isn't wearing panty liners every day, oh so wonderful? :)

Then you'll have lochia for a few weeks. Fun!

Sounds normal to me! You will want to mention it to your OB on the next visit to reassure yourself, and of course if the smell or color changes, give her/him a call right away. Otherwise, hang in there- you'll look back on these days fondly, I promise!

You should take magnesium citrate or magnesium malate, which can not only help increase the health of your baby, but it helps combat yeast.

Regarding yeast infections -- take an acidolphillus supplement 2-3 times everyday until it clears up. Then decrease it to 1 time a day, like the directions say on the bottle. You can stop taking it and just take it when the problem comes back, but if you get them often it's probably best to just make it part of your daily supplement intake.

Also eat a good brand of yogurt every day, especially if you aren't taking the supplement anymore (Nancy's or Fit & Fruity are the brands I like, but whatever brand that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup or aspartame or food coloring, and has active cultures in it is fine).

You may consider increasing your daily water intake to at least 8-8oz. per day. Drink before and after each meal.

Some discharge is normal, but I second that you should talk to your doctor. It is always better to be safe when it comes to you & your baby's health. Most of the discharge should stop after birth... I'm 30 weeks right now & mine has slowed, but I still need to weat a panty liner cause when I sneeze or cough I sometime can't hold everything in so to speak. The baby just sits on the bladder to much now... so it makes it hard sometimes, but that might also have something to do with this being my 5th.

Congratz on the little one & try to enjoy the pregnancy!!

I had it horrible too while pregnant, and it didn't go away until I stopped breastfeeding. My doc was never too concerned, and said it was normal while breastfeeding too as the hormones are still going in your system. But, yes keep an eye on it and just ask your doctor, can never be too safe when it comes to being pregnant. But you are not alone, and yes it's oh so fun to wear panty liners ALL the time!

Every woman is different, of course, but the sticky white discharge you get is what your body makes in excess during pregnancy to plug and protect the cervical opening. Heavy amounts of this mucous is normal. It will go away after you give birth.

Just another of the fun little gross details of pregnancy.
