My husband and I have recently started trying to have another baby. We are super excited and cannot wait. I want to be pregnant again so bad and it is making me very anxious. We had no problems at all concieving our son who is now 16 mos old. Actually it only took one try. I am assuming we got lucky but we both come from very "fertile" families. So here is my question I was ovulating this past week and we took advantage of the siutation, when can I take my pregnancy tests to find out if I am pregnant? I know that the tests say up to five days before a missed period, but has anyone else ever been super excited about getting pregnant and taking one extremely early and gotten results? Thanks!!

My husband and I were trying for #3 and I kept taking tests 5 days before ect. I got two lines on a first response test, and they faded really quickly. The next day I even had blood drawn at the dr.s office, it came back negative. For some reason my husband made me take a test last night, and it was positive. I was 11 days late before I got a positive on my test, even though I assumed that I was pregnant. So, my advice, to keep yourself from going crazy, wait until you are late before you begin testing, it will save you alot of money and not drive you crazy! :) Good luck!
I'm sure u may have found out by now, but if not i think it take about 3-4 weeks for ur hormones to be strong enough to detect for a pee test. I took one about 2 weeks before christmas and it was negative then i took one the day after christmas and it was positive.. it was kind of weird, but i knew (by feeling and physically plus i had already been prego 3 times) that i was prego, but it hadn't registered yet with the first test. However, i did just recently miscarry w/ this pregnancies, but i'll try again soon. So about 5 days into that 'period' i took another test and it was negative again so they are accurate it's just until ur hormones build up. that babycenter online says about 2 weeks u could do a blood test and it would show up and 4 weeks a home pregnancy test. I had my last period sometime in december. and i spoted a few days in january. I just took 2 preg test and they both came back positive. I am wating til monday to call the doc and see whats up
