I work from home and have an 18 month old son. I feel he is at that age where he would enjoy playing with other kids more than he does now which is at church on Sunday's. Since I do not really know alot of Moms- I have looked into several ways to get into a Mom's group. The problem is that I would not be able to commit to weekly playdates...more like every two weeks because of work. If anyone is interested in putting together a really relaxed playgroup let me know. I live in the Northwest 290 area- and am open for ideas. I know that Elizabeth was trying to put something together, I just wanted to see if anyone else would like to.

My son just turned 1 and I am interested in a relaxed playgroup. I work evenings and sometimes if I work late the night before it is hard to get up early for any playgroup. Let me know what you are thinking about putting together, I would love to hear about it.

Hi K. I would love to join a playgroup. I have an almost 20 month old son that definetly could use the interaction. I am part of a MOPS group that meets in Fairfield but that's every 2 weeks and will be taking a summer break after May 8th. I'm also a SAHM homeschooling my 14 yr old daughter. We'd love to get together with other like minded moms for socialization.
I am a part of a small moms group right now its just a few of us from our church but we are very relaxed we try to meet at meyer park of cypresswood everyday for a walk and then we stop and play at the park with the kids...not all of our moms can make it everyday and that is okay so if you ever want you can stop by and we would love to meet you and your son...our group needs little boy cause we have 2 2yr old girls and 2 1 yr old girls and then 7 and 9 yr old boys...write back if you would like more info.

I am actually moving to NW Houston, 290 area in summer. First we will be staying in a corporate accomodation until we find a home and move in. We will be in Houston in 2 weeks. I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old, and would love to form a play group, which we used to do when we lived abroad for both my sons. If you are happy in your area, maybe you could also recommend me a nice childfriendly subdivision, a pediatrician, and a preschool???? Sorry too many questions, but I am so excited to have found someone in the areas we are interested in living? Houston is so spread out I got overwhelmed when we were taken out by agents, and still have no idea where we looked... Thanks a lot, A.

I live in the 290/Fairbanks N. Houston area as well and will be looking for a play group for my two year old once school is out. I have a 7 year old as well. I'm not that familiar with playgroup....so where would the groups rotate from house to house or will we meet at certain parks, etc.?
I live in the Waller area 290/2920 and would love to get my 7 month old involved in a playgroup also.

I live in the 290/Fry area and have a 4 year old son and a daughter that just turned 3. They are older then your son but I'd be more then happy to let you see how things go. There are a bunch of kids within a few home area here and they all play very well together. The oldest is 7 and she has a younger sister and brother. Most of our little group here loves little kids and watches over them carefully.
