Does any one know of any water spray playground in Bergen where you don't have to be a member or resident to use them? It seems there is one in Garfield and one in Elmwood Park, but you have to be a resident of the town.

It's not a sprayground, just a big old fashioned sprinkler that's lots of fun...Phelps park in Teaneck, off River Road, right opposite the FDU campus. There's a nice shady playground there too. It looks like street parking isn't allowed, but there's a metered parking lot - you need quarters. I think it's $.25 for 30 minutes up to 2 hours - something like that. Have fun!
There is a park located in Clifton/borderline Passaic that is free to the public and has a small section where there is a water spray area...the park is really cute and its the back entrance is located on Third Street off of Clifton Avenue....and the other entrances to the park are located on Paulison Ave...hope this helps!!
van song park. not sure exactly what town it's in, but they used to have a small water paly area. open to the public. look it up on line. might be vann song park, not sure
There is one in Lyndhurst. I take the students from my preschool on field trips in the summer. It's really nice the kids love it. I do not come from the town we come in from Rutherford and they have never given us a problem. Have fun!!!
Van Saun Park. It is located in Paramus. You take the Forest Ave. exit which is right at the new Whole Foods. Google it and you will find directions and I think some pictures. They have pony rides, a carosel, a zoo (with a train ride), and a great playground with sprinklers that is sectioned off by age. I live in Manhattan and travel to Van Saun to play that's how much we like it. Have fun!!!
Lynhdhurst has one with a playground and so does union city (31st and NY Ave).
