The park is in Haworth and yes, it's fantastic! There's lots to do: climing, jumping, slides and swings but you'll have to keep a close eye on your 2 year old because there are areas where you can't see the kids clearly and other places that a 2 year old should not go by themselves.
I've been there many times but unfortunatley, I can't tell you what road it's on. Maybe if you google "Haworth park" you'll be able to find it. Good luck!!

There is also a great park in Englewood Cliffs called Johnson Park. Good for all ages and completely fenced in. Not good for a hot, summer day though, because there's not much shade. The Haworth park has plenty of shade.

Van Suan Park in Paramus (they have everything!! ZOO, train, merry go round, picnic tables, + all of the typical swings + slides for all ages of kids.)

Or

there's also a brand new park in LYNDHURST that has 4 different playground "jungle gyms" and a tiny "water park" where the kids can run through a fountain shaped like a snake, etc...) It's along the train tracks behind the Shoprite, not sure of the street name.

Hi J.,

I'm not sure which playground was designed by moms, but an excellent park in Bergen County is Van Saun County Park in Paramus. It has everything your kids will enjoy... a great, large playground, with areas appropriate for different ages, picnic areas, a carousel (small fee), pony rides (small fee), but best of all, the playground is right across from the Bergen County Zoological Park. I only discovered this tiny zoo two years ago. Its only about a dollar to two to get in (during certain times of year, its free) and its small enough for the kids to walk through without getting tired. There are plenty of great things to see there and even some hands-on displays sometimes. For a small fee, you can also take a leisurely train ride around the zoo.

We usually go to the zoo and then walk across to the playground for a while, sometimes we'll have a picnic too. The kids have a wonderful time... so much so, we have relatives coming to visit and that is what all the kids have chosen to do for the day!

Have fun!
K.
