DH and I had a great date night tonight! We went to see the comedian Ralphie May at the local comedy club. It's been a long time since we had a date night and an even longer time we got out and had a great laugh. Sometimes, just letting loose is the best thing you can do for your marriage and yourselves.

well, i had a wonderful date night tonight. went to a free music thing at a local pavillion & just hung out on the lawn, got a hot dog & a raspberry lemonade & laid under the stars & moon. it was so sweet!
this was a date w/my little 2.5 yr old boy btw, he's my main man! :)
i had a GREAT night though and he's sound asleep now... :)

One thing we decided that would be a major priority before and after children is weekely date night.
The time alone either at a nice dinner, comedy club, or just walking around jsut us, is so important to a solid marriage.
The money we spent every week on a sitter was well worth it in the long run. We are on year 23!!
I don't think my husband and I have been on a good date since we got married 4 years ago. :( So glad you had a good time!

We are way overdue but tonight (because my b-day is coming up) we went with the baby to dinner (yum) and swung by one of my favorite stores (which we never do)
We never go on dates since the baby was born.
We used to go on dates every Friday night after the gym. Aww the old days. I won't say "good ol' days" because everything is even better now that I have my baby. Just less time for US.
One date we had that was wonderful is we took a 2 hr ride on this Sailboat. They served everyone wine, cheese, fruit & crackers. It was so beautiful and one of our best memories yet.
Need to do dates more often now that baby is here. *sigh*
Just to comment, Ralphie May is so funny!! I think he would make any night fun.. I love that guy!
What a good idea for a date!!! I'm SO stealing that one from you! My husband and I haven't been out on a date longer than an hour or two in about three and a half years. I'd love a good laugh!

Ok not my best, but a good date was my hubby and I took the day off and drove to Canton for 1st Monday. We stayed there all day, walked around and enjoyed being out and about. This without the girls complaining about all the walking and wanting to snack every time they saw something they liked.

Dates are SO important in a marriage.
I know our kids are our number one priority but the family just doesn't function well without a healthy marriage :)
My husband and I go to dinner, movies, live music and yes, last new year's eve I took him to see John Oliver at a comedy club in San Francisco, sooo fun!!!
Something we really enjoyed was a cooking class (and eating!) at Central Market!

Love that you had a great time! Don and I went out last weekend to see a movie. It was nice to get away, but we were broke and the movie sucked, but we still got out!
Our best date ever was when my sister came and took my daughter (now adopted by my husband) so that we could have some time alone for my birthday. After some amazing sex, he took me out to the porch and proposed to me. I got an engagement ring for my 21st birthday! I'll never forget it~
