I would like to get some feedback and what you think of baby powder in a compact?? It is already patent, and was on the shelf but discontinued due to lack of sales. I wanted to see if any of you moms would buy it, try it, or want to use it. Please give me feedback or email me about more info. Thanks a bunch.
I actually already use cornstarch in a compact (face powder) makeup holder. A friend gave hers to me and I love it. I keep it on my changing table and it shakes the cornstarch onto my babies bottom without it going into the air. I think it would be a big seller if mom's tried it out.
I probably wouldn't use it. We've had 2 children and I've never used it.
I don't think I would buy it. Even though you wipe and clean the baby's bottom...you would have to use the compact puff over and over. Just doesn't seem very sanitary.
I probably wouldn't use it either. What I would use however is a good diaper cream, that actually works, that came in a spray bottle. I use diaper cream quite a bit, but if something came in a spray bottle where I wouldn't always have to get my hands all goopy with the cream, that would be great! Babies r us has a version of this, but it doesn't seem to work as well as Butt Paste or Dr. Smith's.
use of baby powder or any kind of talc in infants has been linked to potentially serious urogenital problems. Therefore all responsible physicians strongly discourage the use of these types of products. That is probably why the patent is currently idle.
In a compact to use for baby, I'd never use it. I rarely use baby powder anymore.
Some models carry a little baby powder in their make-up bag in case they need it for tight shoes, sweaty areas or whatever. I did back in the day and used a baggy with a powder brush in it.
I probably wouldn't buy it either, I was given baby powder at my baby shower and my son is now 18 months old and I have never used it. I honestly don't see the point in it.
I would think that it would be a prime spot for bacteria to grow, so I'd stay away from it.

I probably wouldn't use it either. I don't think many people use baby powder (for it's intended purpose anyway) anymore due to the urinary tract issues and the inhalation of the particles. Like the other moms, I got several containers for my baby shower and they still sit unopened on my bathroom shelf. Also, like one of the other moms mentioned, I think reusing the powder puff in a compact on a baby's bottom day after day would be unsanitary.
