If it feels like a baby kicking, enjoy the reminder of what
it feels like to have life inside you.
It may not last.
I have been having the sensation of a baby kicking inside me. I know I am not pregnant and am wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks in advance.
OK girls, I think I figured it out. I bought splenda packets with added fiber. I have been having a lot splenda lately, which I guess is turning my stomach upside down. Thanks for all your posts.

Everyone has major blood vessels that you can feel your pulse if your muscles are just right. I used to freak out my mom when I was little because I was thin and you could see it.
I would make absolutely certain that you are not pregnant though. Some women have periods all the way through the pregnancy, and some women can't test on the home tests.
gas ... and a desire to have another baby?
My friend had this...when she had a bladder infection.
I am not really sure what it is, but let me tell you, it will happen FOREVER!! I am 42, my oldest is 18 and my youngest is almost 12. It is very freaky!! It is almost an after thought too, you feel it and then you go, hey I am not prego, what was that??? I do not think it is a desire to have another kid, cuz I have known for years I was done and did not ever want to be prego again, got my tubes tied to make sure it wouldn't happen, and I still get those odd "twinges" in my tummy!! How funny that NO ONE has ever asked but EVERYONE has felt it!! We just all thought we were crazy!! Wheeeww!! Glad that's been solved!!
I'd say it's due to gas.
Typically it's gas. I get it every so often too. Everything from the flutter feeling to the something just moved feeling.
You are not alone! I am so glad someone asked this question, I have an entire houseful of pregnancy tests because I swear something/someone is in there...Thanks for thinking of this one, it's something that happens and I don't really talk about often!
It can be muscle spasms and/or gas.
Thank you for asking that! I thought I was the only one, I thought I was crazy.
This happens to me sometimes too! I think it is just muscle spasms. It is so weird, though, b/c it feels just like baby kicks--but the kind you get when the baby is bigger, not the tiny little flutters you feel in the beginning. I've never mentioned it to the doctor because I'm not really concerned about it...let me know if you find out what causes it! Best of luck to you.
Have you taken a home pregnancy test to see if you was pregnant.
Hi E. - I know exactly what you are talking about. I have had diverticulitis for many years (I've been hospitalized with acute bouts 3 times). The kicking sensation is your body trying to push food through to digest. There are times when I can actually see my lower abdomen on one side moving ! It completely freaked me out when it was first happening! Of course yours could be something totally different so you might want to check with a gastroenteroligist (not sure how to spell it!).
Good luck - K.
I've felt something similar before as well. I had a c-section 20 yrs ago and just always assumed it was related to that. The only thing I can guess is that it's a nerve or muscle twitch inside. When it happens to me it's not painful at all so I've never talked with a doctor about it. It never fails to remind me of those precious baby kicks too.
funny, I get that too! I had my tubes tied after 2nd c-sec. so I KNOW I'M NOT PREGO. I thought i was weird- nice to know it's not just me. looking foward to seeing what other moms have to say.
I swore I was pregnant once even though I had a Tubal Ligation because of the same feeling. I even went to the Dr. to have her do a pregnancy test. I wasn't and she said it was probably just gas. It went away not too long after I went to the Dr. It is crazy. It wasn't just a pulse feeling it was exactly like a baby moving around. It never hurt and I didn't pass gas afterwards. It drove me crazy because I knew the chances of being pregnant was so slim but the movement was very real.
I felt that too, only one period of time when my first child was an infant, which was in 1978! I spoke about it among a group of young women at a new friend's house. I didn't know the other women and they weren't moms so they really thought I was wierd. My friend immediately said that it was just gas. It's always been like an embarrassing moment in my life and no one has ever told me they felt that too. Thanks for sharing!!! :-)
That is so weird because I have been feeling this lately too! I had a baby about 9 months ago and it DOES feel like a baby kicking! I thought I might be pregnant again but the tests show that I am not. Plus, it feels more like a bigger baby's kicks. Anyway, muscle spasms make sense. I bet it's that. Just think...the stuff you put your uterus through...it's probably going to spasm out for years! It's a weird feeling though...and I'm so glad that others have felt it too. I thought I was losing my mind :)
When I was pregnant with my first child, I asked my mom what it will feel like when I feel the baby move. She said it will feel like gas. Then she laughed and said that after you have the baby, gas will feel like a baby moving. Pregnancy just changes your awareness of certain aspects of your body. You probably felt that before being pregnant and just ignored it. Now that feeling is a reminder of something more significant and meaningful, so it would stand to reason that you would notice it.
