Well, the kids are squared away, but hubby and I are going to an AMAZING Halloween party, and I can't wait ( favorite holiday). However, for the first time ever, I can't think of what to be! Help me out! What would you dress as or what are you dressing as for Halloween?

***I've been a dominatrix, vegas showgirl, Anne Boleyn, vampires and other ghostly things, Mother Nature, a VERY pregnant pumpkin and Kim Catrall from Sex and the City. I'm liking the Batgirl...keep 'em coming!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you so much ladies! You really got my imagination going. My husband and I have done a few couple costumes, and I love doing that, but he's apt to him and haw about it until the last minute. I told him last night that I decided to dress up like Dolly Parton! Unless he comes up with a better couple costume, I think I'm going to "grow" a bit in the chest, get a big blonde wig and enjoy applying A LOT of makeup, wearing my cowgirl boots, something sparkly and being Dolly. I LOVE her! Thanks for all of your suggestions though -and even though I doubt he would go for it -"the good, the bad and the ugly" idea is awesome -LOL! Happy Halloween!

Halloween is my favorite too.
In fact, my first baby was due on November 1, and I told my doctor I was worried about having her on Halloween. He said, "Don't worry, honey, there's no stigma attached."
I said, "I'm not worried about that. It's my favorite holiday, I don't want to miss it having a kid."
She arrived the day before Halloween and I was home with my bunny ears and whiskers passing out candy and welcoming visitors.
Forgive me for being sentimental. Her birthday is coming up. She'll be 25.

It's hard to know how to help you without knowing what you've already done as far as costumes.
I've been a thousand things. Yes....I'm a thousand years old.
:)

I don't know what I will do this year either yet.

Best wishes!

MY FAV holiday. Sniff. Because I can't afford my "wanna" costume this year. Ah well! Another year to get thinner.

Tim Burton's Alice. In her Mad Hatter Dress. Next year!!!! :D :D :D

I always have my "no money standby" though! I have custom vampire fangs, and an excuse for pinup girl makeup.

But if I can squish some money from the budget, I'll be Red Riding Hood. Possibly with fangs. And then I'll be Jessica from TrueBlood ;)

Past Costumes:
- Indian Goddess (and yes, it was almost entirely so I had an excuse to paint myself blue and dye my hair red)
- Geisha
- Glitter (yes, I went as glitter one year, I got clever about it occasionally and said I was the glint in my daddy's eye)
- Freudian Slip (a neglige and a sign around my neck that said Freudian)
- Pin Up Girl

oh, and a ton of others.

Halloween is so fun! I like the idea of dressing as something that goes together. My husband and I were pirates one year. We looked awesome!
How about Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein? My friend and her husband were that last year and it was great. Here are some other ideas:

Doctor and Nurse OR Doctor and patient
Prince and Princess; King and Queen
Princess (You) and Frog (Him)-that might be really funny if he's up for it
Witch and Warlock
SuperMan and Lois Lane
BatMan and CatWoman (love that one!)

I hope those ideas help. Have a great one...

My daughter's Halloween work theme is Star Wars. She's going as one of the sand army people. You could choose a movie and go as two of the characters. Princess Leih (sp?) and the Harrison Ford Character. You can tell I don't know much about Star WArs. lol

Beth, lol I recognize the name, now. I saw the first Star Wars when it came out and haven't paid much attention since then. I do have a visual memory of the two of them together.

Lady Godiva....nude leotard and long blonde wig. It was 20 years ago when I wore it, but it was a blast.
