I am looking for a low cost doctor's office or clinic or some place to go. I need to go to the GYN. I think I may be pregnant because I haven't had my cycle in going on 3 months now. I'm not sure though because I have taken several home tests and they all have come up negative. I know it's not stress or anything that is keeping me from getting it because everything is going really well and I don't have anything to stress me out at the moment and I'm not stressing over this, I would just like to know for sure. Another thing is I'm over weight and I heard that it is common for over weight women to not have a period but the thing to that is I have been at my weight for 5 years and up until a few months ago I always had a period. So needless to say I need to go to the doctor but my GYN costs up to and over $300 at times (no insurance). So if you know of somewhere I should go I'd appreciate any help.
Hi S. I don't know where you live but I am from Fort Worth and when I thought I was pregnant I went this place called the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center and all of their services are free. The people there are wonderful. They also have parenting classes if you are pregnant. Hope all goes well.

I would just look into your local planned parenthood clinic. They are there for the specific reason of low cost women's health care for the uninsured.
Planned Parenthood is great. I used them when i didn't have insurance. They have great people working there. They will do an exam and a pregnancy test. I don't think you can just get a preg test, i think you have to have the exam.
If you aren't pregnant and are low risk for problems, this is a good place to go for your anual exams and such as well. Just look them up online they have a bunch of area locations.
Planned Parenthood offers a lot of services at lower costs, and they have offices all over the place. I got a pregnancy test done there, and it was $18.
Don't diagnosis yourself - go to Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood is a good bet. If you are pregnant, you need to be getting pre-natal care. John Peter Smith (Tarrant County's public health system) has a series clinics that are available to people depending on thier annual income. You should look into that to see if you fall under the income cap. I am assuming that you have insurance for your kids, if not, you can purchase high deductable castatrophy policies which would cover any major illnesses at a much lower cost than a full service policy.
You can go to Planned Parenthood and have a pregnancy test done for fairly cheap. Or you can go to Pregnancy Crisis Center and have one done for free. I'm not sure how they do it, it may be a blood test, but I took my friend there when she thought she was pregnant. Hope this helps.
I just went to webmd.com and typed in "missed periods not pregnant" in the search box. It came up with a great article that gives a really good explanation of what MIGHT be happening that's causing you to skip your period. You can also look for doctors on the website (there's a link near the bottom of the page), and from there you can just call the offices that are near you to ask what their fees, etc are. Other than that, I'm sorry to say that most dr's are requiring insurance benefits, because without the money that our health insurance pays them, they can't pay their malpractice insurance (and believe me....it's more than you could ever imagine!!) Malpractice insurance rates are also the #1 reason OB/Gyns are going to other areas of medicine, or leaving medicine altogether.
