I am taking a trip to Florida by plane at the end of March. But her being my first I have not a clue what to dress her in on the plane and even in Florida. We will be on the beach for a good part of the time. She will be about 7 months. I know that I should bring sunbounets but I dont know what else. Also what are somethings that I shouldnt do with out when traveling with her.

What can I do next?

where about in florida? i just moved from south florida (west palm beach area) to MD. so i know that by march weather gets pretty warm though with cooler nights from time to time. so you definitely do not need jackets, need sunscreeen for her, hats, i think long sleeve shirts, but mostly short sleeves, and capris/shorts.
so basically, bring a few thin long sleeve shirts on top of stuff for warm warm weather.
don't know what you do for mosquitoes but they are alot down there and bite a whole lot. i never used an repellant for my girls, but when outside and in grassy areas i put long sleeve stuff so they don't get biten.

for airplane ride just get music stuff, lil toys and give her one at a time to keep her occupied.
good luck

I totally agree about it still being a little chilly in Florida in March!
But, even more the bugs are out of hand especially in March.
We use a product called Bugband...it was developed by the Univ. of Florida, deet free, all natural ingredients...the active ingredients are call geraniol(from scentd geranium flowers), mint and rosemary. It is really smelly in a good way, but I spray it on the baby's clothes not skin.
The web site is www.bugband.net
Have a great vacation.

L., dress her in layers if it is cool, so you can take them off. Good practice for the spring weather that you'll come back to up North! As for sun bonnets, I always used the ones with long brims and long backs that covered the neck completely. Be very careful about sunburns!

Also, even if it is warm outdoors, it may be very cold in the air conditioning, so always bring a cardigan to restaurants, etc., for the baby. (You might want one, too!)

Where are you going in FL?
