Groupon was just sending out some nice deals this week.
I need a cheap getaway. I'm all over dealfind, living social, priceline, and kayak. I'm looking for a cheap getaway for 2 adults in the next month or 2. For example - My friend bought a $99 flight to Beverly Hills on one site and $68 per night stay at a resort in Beverly Hills on another site. SO, she is going to Beverly Hills for 2 days for $200! Too bad she told me about the deals after they expired! DO you have any sweet secret you want to share?
Thank you for the warnings but I am a very careful spender. I have used Groupon, Living Social, and Deal Find with no trouble. I have used Priceline and had a great experience. I find that if I do my research, outside of thier website, I can tell a good deal from a bad one pretty quickly.

I love going. I've been to 50 states, 47 countries and 6 continents. I could be ready to go anywhere in the world in 60 minutes if it wasn't for the shots required for some places.

Good luck to you and yours.
I saw that some airlines have summer fare sales. I saw it on the Travelzoo.com newsletter. The newsletter features some of the best travel deals.
I would be wary of deals as well. I once did that and was put in a yucky little fleabag hotel in ST Thomas that billed itself as a resort. I ended up switching hotels to a real resort at much extra cost.
Groupon does travel deals now-they looked good to me. Not sure whats available in your area.
Be wary of "deals" and fine print. We fly a lot and I never, ever go through any discounters.
Your friend will be paying more than $200 for her trip, trust me.
I buy a lot of tickets on Southwest Air. Go directly to the website, book 21 days in advance on the "web only" deals. My hubby flies to Houston monthly and I have him booked through Dec for around $100 round trip.
SW has a lot of promotions going on right now.
I also deal directly with American Airlines. If you book far enough in advance you can get a deal and they advertise deals on their site as well.
Call the hotel your want directly and you can get a deal as good or better than discounters.
Good luck and Happy travels.
