My son was in his crib in the other room from the very first night we brought him home from the hospital. It is never too soon, it is based solely on your comfort level.
Hello all,
I think I am ready to put my daughter in here crib but I was wondering if it is too early? She just turned 4 months on the 16th and just wanted to make sure I am not doing this too early.
Thanks in advance for helping on this matter :)
I put my daughter in her crib after our move a couple of nights ago and she seems to like her crib better then her bassinet. Makes it much nice for all of us at night time as I have to fall asleep with the tv on. Thanks for all your help!

Hello J., It's not to early to put your daughter in a crib
she will be growing alot in the next couple of months so it's good to have her in something bigger so she can move around more. I would love to be there for you I know how hard it is to be new in town when you don't know anyone.
I've had alot of navy wives for friends so I understand what you are going through. Feel free to call me ok.T.

J.,
I personally do not believe it's too early. I put my daughter in the crib when she was 2 weeks old, and she liked it a lot better then her bassinet in our room. She started sleeping through the night when she was 9 weeks old, and has been in her crib every since.
Hi J.,
I'm M., a 38 yo SAHM with two daughters, a 4 1/2 yo and a 21 mo. Both of my girls were in a bassinet in my room until 6 weeks and then moved to their own room and crib after that. Both have been sleeping through the night since 4 months. But they both had times when they had to cry themselves to sleep which is expected in the beginning. Every time this happened, the crying got shorter and shorter until now they just lay down and go to sleep. All I can suggest is a warm bottle, a dry diaper, a favorite blankie, some soft music, some mommy cuddle time, then walk out and close the door. It will happen, I promise. As long as the routine is stuck to every night, she will learn what to expect and that you will be there first thing in the morning for her. My youngest actually wakes me up each morning by saying mommy over and over which is picked up by the baby monitor. Its a great way to start my morning. If you ever want to get together for coffee or something, I'd love to hang out and swap baby stories. Good luck and let us know how it goes with the new sleeping arrangements.
J.,
Not too early! My son has been in his crib since 6 weeks and sleeps great in there! He's around the same age (b. 6/19) and had no issues moving from our room to his own. Good luck!
