Where to Get My Daughter's Ears Pierced?

I don't know of a doctor that does ear piercing but I had my daughter's ears pierced when she was 4 months old. We went to Claire's in Hulen Mall. They said she had to be six months old to be able to do it but we lied (I know it's bad) and said she was six months old. Anyway, they did a great job. I did them at 4 months because I heard they younger they are when having them pierced the less likely they are to mess with them. She never had any trouble with them getting infected or pulling them out. I am very happy I had them pierced when I did and would definitely recommend Claire's. Also...I shop a lot at Wal-mart and have seen lots of young girls getting their ears pierced there. Good luck!

I had my little girls ears pierced last November right when she turned 6 MO. I took her to Claire's here in Mansfield as that is where my pedi told me to go. I was very please with them and they use the individual disposable guns. My pedi has just started doing them, but she is a lot higher that going to Claire's. If you really want to get them done now I would search until finding a dr to do it. My daughter won't have hers done until she asks (if she saw someone getting theirs done, she would want it now - SO Girlie even at not two yet. haha) but we will definitely be going to a Dr to have it done, just feels safer to me. I figure we'll figure out who when the time comes.

It makes me sad to see little babies that have had their earlobes mutilated for the sake of the parents. How would you like to be held down while someone stuck soemthing through your flesh with out your consent?

My pediatrician's office, Dr. Walter Leon has a sign that says they pierce ears. I have not had it done, nor do I know anyone that has, but they are pretty good otherwise. Hope that helps. His office is off of Matlock between Arbrook and Mayfield. The number is ###-###-####.

I have a 4 month old daughter too and really want to get her ears pierced, but I have decided to wait. Wal-Mart is where I was going to take her, so you could do it there. I did some research on piercing and after reading about infants pulling the earings out and choking on them I decided to wait. My Mom waited until I was 5 so I could decide. I plan to wait till she is atleast 3. A lady I babysatt for had her daughters done at 1 1/2 and she pulled it out and ripped the hole. I want to wait until she really understands not to touch it. It is totally up to you. I would have already done it if there werent so many risks. Good Luck : )

I have two girls and both were done at six months old at Wal Mart. No infections and no troubles at all. If you request it, they will have 2 people do them at the same time. That way you dont have the screaming and struggling while the second ear is being done. I used 2 people each time. Just find out when they will have 2 employees in that area and ask them to do it this way. They only cry for a second- just like getting shots. Also, I held both of mine in my lap and fed them a bottle while it was going on. This kept them a bit occupied. Good Luck- they look so cute on little girls!!!

I had my daughter's ears pierced when she was 10 mths old. We had them done at Wal-Mart. They did a great job I think. They were extremly gentle and walked her through the whole process. Being a momma, I was very sceptical on doing it b-c I didn't want her in pain, but I went ahead and had them done. She only knew that her ears were stinging and cryed for about 30 seconds. Then she was just fine, never messed with them. She's 19 mths old now and still has really never messed with them or tryed to pull them out, but every kiddo is different, you know? I've always heard the younger the better.

1. I think you should wait til she can make her own decision about it but it's totally up to you because you're the mamma!

2. Body piercing places.. believe it or not... are the cleanest and most professional. The places at the mall have a high chance of getting infected. I actually had one of my piercings'skin grow OVER the earring it got so infected from Claire's.

We had both of our girl's ears pierced at Claire's. The one in Southlake is good. We've been pleased with the results. Also, if you want a doctor, Dr. Johnson in Southlake does piercings. He is in the same practice as our pedi. He is affiliated with Baylor and located just off of Southlake Blvd. Hope this helps!
