I would rather ruin the white of 1 shirt from throwing it in with the darks then for the whole load of white to be ruined from the black sleeves.
My vote is the darks.
This is a baseball-style shirt.
White body with black sleeves.
Which load would you wash it with? Darks or whites?
Added: I don't use bleach. Liquid Tide only. Warm water. It's been washed before.

I'd wash it with the darks in cold water.
three words- Color Safe Bleach
I usually make that call with the care instructions, if it says cold water it goes with the darks and warm or hot it goes with the whites. This works on the theory that they have the sense to make the shirt washable without taking the sleeves off.
Oh this theory was born of a pair of black slacks that actually bled in cold water. That O. still makes me scratch my head but I learned the hard way to read care instructions.
initially i would wash it by itself until i didn't think the black would bleed....then as long as you are not using bleach, i don't believe it would matter which load
With the darks, as long as there is nothing "new" in the dark load.
Use the Color Catcher sheets, too! I think they work well!
colors. the black sleeves MIGHT bleed if you use bleach with the whites. Why risk getting the whites gray if you don't have to?
