I have Dr. Edward Matuga and I think he is the best! He is very straight forward and doesn't sugar coat anything. He is funny and is quick getting you in and out. He has delivered both my boys but I had to be induced so I'm not sure if he delivers all his babies. He also lets you take your care into your own hands. If you say you need something he'll give it to you.

I've come to find that my midwife at the IMS Birthing Center in Redlands is so much better than any OBGYN! She spends SO much time with me, asks lots of questions, has tons of great answers to my questions, and while she's not all crazy-holistic medicine lady, she does aim for a more natural approach to life.

I began seeing her when I found out I was pregnant with my second child, and I seriously never want to look back to any of my old gynos again. She's awesome. Her name: Leonette Clayson.

I used Dr. Sadler (female) at the Riverside Medical Clinic. At the time, she was in the Moreno Valley office. My daughter is 13 now, so I can't guarantee that she will still be there, but I thought she was really great! She was very gentle with me, and I was 18 and had never seen a gyno before so I needed that!! :D

Course when it comes time to deliver, with a group like RMC, you get whoever is on call that night. Which actually worked out fine... :D

RMC drs work through Parkview, which is a really lovely hospital! I recommend it for sure!!

Huggles!!

Hi L. -

I've heard that the best female OB/Gyn in town is Dr. Michelle Lewis, but I've never tried her. I'm happy with my OB/Gyn who is a man. His name is Dr. Alex Norton Jr.

Good luck to you, L.

I live in Henderson now, however, I had my daughter in California and my doctor was Dr. Easter. I LOVED him and his staff. They are in Upland. I also delivered at San Antonio Hospital and they were great as well. Good Luck!

I have a couple of different recommendations for you. If your insurance will cover it I use Dr. Hart at Loma Linda. She did most of my pre-natal care (I went into pre-term labor at 28 weeks) and was good with the post-natal care. She has also handled all of my gyn issues. I really liked the staff in labor and delivery at Loma Linda as well. They have a really good facility with private rooms in the postpartum unit and large labor and delivery rooms (you do both in the same room which is nice). The only problem with Loma Linda ob/gyn is they don't necessarily deliver their own patients. You get whoever is on duty that day. If you want your Dr. to deliver you, you can go to Family Practice at Loma Linda. They deliver their own patients. I would recommend Dr. Opsahl or Dr. Osborn. They are both female. A friend of mine has had Dr. Osborn deliver both of her kids and my neighbor had Dr. Opsahl deliver all 3 of hers. Good luck.

I had my baby at Kaiser. My OBGYN was Dr. Savala-Frias. Young, careful, thoughtful. I liked her. Unfortunately, she wasn't around for my delivery. She was still on duty when I first arrived, but ended up with Dr. Jebelli, who talked me into a C-section which I didnt' appreciate, but was extremely thoughtful and caring with me afterwards, came in to check on me every few hours he was on shift when he could...Unless you're high-risk, I would recommed a CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) as opposed to an OB-GYN, who are mostly specialized in surgery...
