I LOVE the Ft. Worth Zoo! We moved to Houston 3 years ago and I still miss that zoo. Definitely gets my vote. Have fun!
My husband and I are wanting to take our 2 young children to the zoo on friday since we are off work and daycare is closed but cant decide which zoo to go to. We have been to both the Fort Worth Zoo and the Dallas Zoo but it was many years ago and we didnt have any kids. Our children are 19 months and 8 months (obviously we are going more for our oldest who LOVES animals).

I think that both of the zoo's are a lot of fun but the Fort Worth Zoo (IMO) is DEFINETELY the best! Bigger, Cleaner and more to do. Which ever one you choose...Have Fun!
Not sure which is best but my daughters daycare is taking them to the zoo on Friday also... They are going to the Dallas zoo... I am going to attend as a class parent!!!! Cannot wait!
I agree that the Ft. Worth zoo is MUCH better. We have a family zoo membership and go all the time. I think the Ft. Worth Zoo is ranked in the top 10 in the nation. They also just opened the new MOLA exhibit that is getting national attention. Have fun whichever zoo you choose!
Come out and see the new Giants of the Savanna Exhibit!
Take a trip on an African safari at the Dallas Zoo. The Dallas Zoo’s new Giants of the Savanna habitat provides an interactive experience for our guests built around the many different species of animals that call the Giants of the Savanna home: elephants, giraffes, impalas, zebras, ostriches, lions, warthogs, red river hogs, guinea fowl, and cheetahs. From the Elephant Watering Hole to the Simmons Safari Base Camp and Levy Family Lookout, guests can see elephants engaging in behaviors as they might in the wild. At the Serengeti Grill, lions will watch you eat your lunch with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall. At the Giraffe Ridge, you can see eye-to-eye with giraffes and feed them right out of your hand! It's an amazing exhibit and it’s inspired other changes around the zoo: take a camel ride or walk through a screen house of Texas butterflies!
I definitely recommend it for the whole family, old and young!
