Ameda vs Medela Pump

I bought the Ameda pump and have only been able to pump a maximum of 1.5 oz with it, regardless of when I pump. I'm wondering if the Medela Pump N Style would pump more milk? Has anyone tried both pumps and noticed a difference in output?

Another BF and Returning to Work Question

I am returning to work FT at the beginning of March, and have the Medela Advanced Pump in Style. I want to continue exclusively BF my son, and have been pumping once a day and building a supply in the freezer. What is the best way to organize things between home, daycare and work? Should I take the pump and leave at the office, and just bring home the full bottles each day (buying an extra daycarrier kit and bottles for daycare)? Does anyone have experience of using these Medela bottles for feeding, as I have just used them for...

Breast Pump Recommendations???

Purely Yours Breast Pump by Ameda or Pump In Style by Medela? I am expecting my second child in a few months & have to work almost immediately after & have no doubt about breast feeding for the first year, so cost isn't a huge factor. I also know I want a double electric to get the job done fast & I don't want to rent. Here's the thing, I want to know which pump is the best out there (ha ha, right-like who's actually tried more than one). Consumer Reports raves about the "Purely Yours," but other moms have raved about the "Pump In Style",...

Questions About Breast Pumps

I have a lot of questions about breat pumps. I will have to return to work about 6 weeks after having my baby so I will need to pump my breastmilk. I have heard that the Medela and Ameda pumps are good. Also heard that the Lasinoh is comparible to the Ameda. Any thoughts? Do most pumps come in standard sizes so any bottle can attach to it? Also anybody know how often I will need to pump? Obviously, there's a lot I don't know about pumping!

Pumping at Work

My second baby is due in February. I will be on maternity leave for 2 months, then it's back to work. Based on my job (and commute time) I will be away from my baby :-( for about 10 hours. I want to continue nursing, but am worried about my supply decreasing. I am curious to how many working moms pump at work. any advice welcome
