The Princess and the Frog and My 5 Year Old

I was hoping to take my daughter to see "The Princess and the Frog" for her 5th birthday next week. Has anyone seen it? It seems as if it may be too scary for a 5 year old. Too Much Princess?

My parents watch my 2 year old two days a week and are great with her. They have more than just a occasional grandparent role in her life and have a big influence on her. No offense to anyone, but my husband and I don't like princess and all things girly for her. She certainly wears pink and has dolls, but we also expose her to Curious George, Elmo, sports etc. We just don't love princess as a role model. Seeking Advice on 5 Year Old Daughter Who Is down on Herself

I have a 5 year old daughter who will start kindergarten this fall. She just recently started telling me she hates herself. She thinks she's ugly, and she wishes she doesn't exsist. I have suggested playing games & other activities only to hear her response of, "I hate that.". I don't know where she is getting this. My husband & I dont talk like that & her only sibbling is one.
