New Born Public Transportation in New York City.

I don't have a car and will have to rely on public transportation (bus, taxi, subway)to transport with my new born baby due in August. What is the best gear to buy? I need to get a car seat but I am torn about the type of carriage/travel system or carrier to get for the baby. I'm not sure which one is the most convenient without sacrificing safety.

"Seeking Advice on How to Keep Nursing Your Baby After a Long Trip Apart."

I need some advice. I have a 7 month old boy who I have been nursing since he was born. I plan on nursing him until 11 months or a year. Well I have a bit of a problem. Next month my husband and I are going to New York for 7 days. It is a family trip and we can't miss it. Anyway I have been going back and forth about taking my baby. So my question is has...

Double Stroller vs Snugli Type Carrier

I am due to have my 4th child on July 3rd and am trying to figure out what form of "transportation" I want to use for the mall or park or walks etc. My youngest is going to be 22 months when this baby is born. I would like to know everyones opinions on which is better - using a Graco front to back double stroller (it would need to accomodate my Graco Snug Ride car seat) or putting the baby in a front style carrier and putting "big" sister in the stroller. My concern with having my 22 mo old walk is that she has hit this phase of wanting...

3 Mo. Old on an Airplane Flight...

Any advise on taking a 3 month old on a 4 hr or so flight (actually with 1 plane change too)? I don't know what we should do with the car seat, or bring toys or what to pack. I'm nursing her full time but she sometimes will take a bottle if we need too, so should I have one as a backup plan? We don't have a separate ticket for her so she will pretty much be a lap infant. I'm just a little nervous and looking for any tips for at at the airport and on the plane!!! Has anyone done it successfully? Thanks!
