39 Weeks and It Feels like Baby Is Literally Sitting in My Woohoo. Is It Time?

Last night after going to dinner I noticed that I couldn't walk. Now the baby dropped weeks ago so I had already began feeling pelvic pressure. But, this was completely different. I had to walk like I just got off a horse, legs wide open, taking baby steps, and it still hurt!
My last appointment was Tuesday which I found out I was 80% effaced but hadn't started to dilate.
So... Today or tomorrow maybe? I know I know she'll come when she's ready but could this be a sign?
I haven't had any of the others like loss of mucas plug or runny stools. I'm hoping I'll get some warning and hoping this is it!

Thanks Mommas

The funny thing is... Last night as the pain I started getting scared. I told my partner "I don't want to do this anymore." But, then when nothing happens I get frustrated and I'm like Grrrrr I wanna get this over with already!!!
Oh to be pregnant. Well i'm due on the 27th according to doctors according to me (because I know the date of conception) I'd be due tomorrow on Easter.

I think it could be close! I went to the doctor on Thursday and was like you (I was about 70% effaced and about 1/2cm dilated). I lost my plug in pieces up to that point, but that night I lost pretty much all of it. Friday night/early Saturday morning, my water broke unexpectedly and I jumped up to four cm in about an hour. *TMI* I didn't have runny stools at all though, which I will warn you makes for a very disgusting delivery. Of course I was also 5 days past my new due date, but it definitely sounds like your getting close.

I will say though that my son bounced in and out from being dropped for about 3 weeks. He would get his head down in the canal and I would be waddling uncomfortably. Then the next day, it was like he was never down there. It was quite annoying!

The good news is a "low" baby like that usually means a quick delivery...it did for me, anyway. All I wanted to add is that you'll want to pay attention to your contractions, specifically the painless ones (since they're easy to ignore). You might just consider them Braxton Hicks, but if they come with regularity, they're the real deal. Both of my labors began with completely painless contractions that eventually started coming every 5 mins. It didn't get super painful until we were actually at the hospital and I was already 7 cms. The whole thing was over in less than 45 mins. So like I said, pay attention to anything that comes regularly. If I had waited until I was in severe pain, I might have ended up delivering in the car!

Oh S.....
My heart is with you!!!!
My daughter is going through exactly the same thing!
She had so much "different" pressure that she went to the ER because she was sure the baby was ready to fall out.
They sent her home. It wasn't time yet. She too is at least 80% (as of two days ago) and only slightly dilated. She hasn't lost her plug or anything and she is SO uncomfortable!
This is the hardest time, in my opinion. You are so anxious and ready just to have the baby and it's hard to know if THIS is it.
Rest assured, that baby will be coming very soon. There will be no stopping it.
Both dad and grandpa (without knowing the other said it) have predicted the baby on Easter. We shall see.
We're all on "baby watch", that's all I know. It's such an exciting time.
Honey, take care of yourself. Eat while you can. I know that both times my "signal" was not being able to eat. I didn't realise it until after the fact of course, but I just couldn't eat anything no matter how good it sounded. It was that way with both my babies.
Hang in there and please promise to let us know when your baby arrives.
You'll do great!
I'm so excited for you!

Best wishes!

Unfortunately, it's not an indicator, at least based on my experience. I went almost 42 weeks with our son and he was super low the last few weeks. It was hard to move at all. I thought it was an "any minute now" situation and I still had a long way to go.

I had to give bad news, but labor is the best sign you get. :)

Sounds pretty darned close. Try to walk as much as possible, you are having an April baby is my guess. And could be very soon. Being TOTALLY uncomfortable is one of the big signs that it's very near.

Oh my god, I felt like that the entire last month! When the baby kicked, it actually felt like something came out of my "woohoo". I remember the first time that happened... I was with my best friend. I begged her to check down there for the baby's head. Lol

I carried low the whole pregnancy though. When the doctor checked me (At 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40 weeks) she would always jump a little bit because she forgot that the baby's head was literally RIGHT THERE.

Oh, and go by YOUR due date... Not the doctor's. My doctor and the ultra-sound tech both said that my due date was November 7th... But I knew without a doubt the date of my LMP and the date of conception, so I knew the due date was actually October 27. Baby was born on October 29.

I would also go more by your dates if you definitely know when you conceived. Pregnancy #1 -They looked at me crazy when I told them I knew exactly how pregnant I was. They did an ultrasound and found I was right. (miscarriage)

Then when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter (pregnancy #3) I had 3 due dates. (no one could decide the right date.... she chose it for them... 6 days after the latest date.)

When I was dialated at 80% with no dialation with my youngest daughter.... They wanted to send me home. My MIL at the time refused to take me home and told the nurses she was going to make me do some stair walking then they were going to check me again. (she was a demanding lady and midwife and I miss her daily) I did the stair walking and got back. Before they checked me again I asked to go to the bathroom feeling like I needed to go #2. Anyway, I sat there trying to go... feeling constipated. I got out of the bathroom and they rushed me to the labor delivery room. LOL
