Hello ladies,

I have a 3 1/2 year old and I would like ideas on activities to do with him or places to take him to this winter. I live in the Dublin area and I usually take him to McDonalds or Burger King play areas but I really don't like this places to much; any ideas on where I can take him to blow off some steam? he's very active and so I would like places where he can be active.

Thank you, any suggestions will be appreciated.

We live in Hilliard and my Kiddos just love to go burn energy at Galaxy, Golf, and Games. It has a great indoor jungle-gym system that is floor to ceiling with slides, ball pits and mazes. The price is affordable, around $3-$5...i can't remember the exact price. Remember to bring socks for the kids! It is a MUST, or you will have to purchase them there.

It is located off Wilson Rd. and the I70 interchange. It can be seen from the freeway on 70, but kind of hidden off of a side road off of Wilson rd. The road may be Interchange rd...not to sure though off the top of my head. Look it up in the phone book!

Enjoy if you give it a go!

Magic Mountain at Polaris has a Toddler Thursday time from 10-12....it's about $2.50/child. It's a great enclosed play area for the little ones.

If you don't work during the day, you could take him to the Recreation Outlet in Powell on Tuesdays or Thursdays. If you show up between 9-10am, you can go and play on their indoor equipment for free.

I also live in Dublin, and my 3-1/2 year old daughter LOVES to go to Chuck E. Cheese!! It really does not have to cost much as I can always find coupons for buying the tokens and we usually do not even eat lunch there ... we just go in to play. There is also the Graeter's on Bethel Road which has a play area.

Hope this helps!

Recreation Outlet in Powell has open play which is free some days and costs $4 on the other days. It's great! Also, the Dublin Rec center has open gym which is $2 per child and some fun classes that you could enroll him in. The Carriage Place Rec center also has classes and it's a little bit cheaper.

Hi Dione,
I have a boy who'll be 3 in March, and we also live in the Dublin/Powell area. You can take him to the Tuttle mall play area, or Polaris mall area (thought they're sometimes full of wild kiddos!) Another idea is a place called "recreation outlet." It's on Powell Rd/750, near the intersection of Sawmill. It's a place where they sell Rainbow Play Systems and all other sorts of outside toys. It's a HUGE indoor display and lots of room to run and play. You'll have to look them up and call them to find out their hours, but they have times when you can come in and play for free, then other times when you can pay a small fee to play (they also do birthday parties.)
Hope this helps!

My son really likes the Recreation Outlet indoor play area on Powell road, just east of Sawmill Blvd. He also enjoys going to the library for story time, or just to look and the books and play with the stuffed animals, puzzles and games. We also go to the malls, both Polaris and Tuttle to play.

Have you tried COSI? It is a great place to go and spend a few hours. They have a great kids floor, my son loves it and is always exhausted after going. He also likes open play at Pump it Up in Dublin.
