Looking for Something Fun to Do with My Toddler

Hi,

I am trying to find something kid friendly for my daughter and I to do during the week. I know there is always the zoo and cosi, but is there anything else around town that is suitable for an active 23 month old? I work a lot, so my time with her is precious and I'd like to find something other than sitting with her at home, or just going to the store. She loves to run around with other kids and play, so is there anything or anywhere I can go that isn't a lot of money? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Kim had a great idea we to go to the mall and let the kids play in the play area when the weather is to cold for the park. Also I know here both of the big resort hotels have shops and arcades and an indoor playground, and anyone guest or not can use it. so we do that often as well. you could also check with your local help me grow program, they might have some different activities you could participate in free of charge, we have a drop in and play at a local pre-school twice a month and it's a really good time and it's all pre-school aged children and under. good luck.

Polaris, Eastland, & Tuttle Malls all have play areas. Even my 15 month old daughter loves Polaris. The last time we were at Tuttle, however, we were concerned about safety. There were 3 different entrances into the area. Eastland & Polaris each only have 1. The only problem we found with Polaris is that we have to go in the evening or weekends & it is usually pretty busy.

i'm part of a local mom's group, we have activities scheduled throughout the week and weekend.

Several of our moms work and attend around their schedules.

We're in Zionsville, where the Hussey Mayfield Library is and it has the Exploration Center which is in the kids' section.
It has coloring stations, puzzles, a train set, puppet show area, wooden doll house, and space to read by a faux fireplace. You can talk inside it, whereas in the reg. library you have to be quiet. You can meet other moms there, and the kids meet friends, too.

I let my kids play inside Pottery Barn Kids while I browse, I take them to the Childrens' Museum ($80 for the whole YEAR).

Hope it helps...
I'm curious what Cosi means?

Hi M.,

During the winter months, I often take my son to the Dublin Rec Center on Mondays and Fridays to play during their toddler time. They open up the big gym and have tumbling mats, and things to climb on, blocks, balls, riding toys, etc. I think it is $2/kid, 9:30-11:30. Westerville Rec Center also has a toddler time on Fridays and it's $3.00, and you don't have to be a resident of either city to attend. The Graeter's Ice Cream shop on Bethel has an indoor playground, which is nice because kids are contained. Public Libraries often have daily story time and so does Barnes & Noble. Hope that helps!
